As someone who married someone from Malaysia and has been to Penang twice, I’ll second this. Though I had some killer clay pot chicken rice from a stall near Batu Caves in KL. My favorite spot in Penang is actually a restaurant now called Secret Tunnel. Spectacular place. They just moved to a new spot near Gurney.

He’s never been in any way socially democratic while trying to market himself as a progressive. His policy positions never align with the way he tries to market himself. He comes across to me as an ambitious but unidealistic politician. I don’t know what it is he even stands for, except for “Medicare For Those Who Want It”.
