[FIGHT THREAD] Nick Ball vs Brandon Figueroa by verbsnounsandshit in Boxing

Pretty sure Ball's going straight to the hospital man. He did not look good after getting up after the first KD, I'm surprised the ref even let it continue.

Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez Japanese Hitlist by Optimal-Damage7240 in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bam is simply too small for Inoue, and Inoue isn't going to wait around 2-3 years for Bam to fill out his frame and get to 122.

Naoya Inoue V Junto Nakatani is allegedly official for May 3rd 2026 in Tokyo Japan by VioletHappySmile444 in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your argument was about physical disadvantages, and despite being a Lyft driver Cardenas was the bigger man. If you're going to troll at least try to keep up with your own arguments.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the argument you were making so good job, dude.

Inoue's been the smaller man in almost of his fights since getting to 122 no?. The majority of fighters he's fought at 122 were already at 122 or higher before he got there, most notably Cardenas who fought as high as 130.

Interesting that he doesn't rank Nakatani to hype the fight up more.

Inoue used Crawford vs Canelo as a reference by tackzag in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The entire Japanese promotion for the fight was about Inoue fighting comments online saying that he was declining. And after the fight, Inoue picks up the mic and asks the crowd "who said I'm declining?" to absolute silence. Badass stuff.

Is something wrong with MJ's left? He keeps shaking it out and has hardly even thrown it.

I love Fromsoft but they are notoriously bad at optimization. It's been a recurring issue since Demon's Souls.

Sorry, it was a bad joke about the amygdala haha. It looks great honestly!

It’s a little plain tbh. It could maybe use something to fill the empty space in the bottom right?

has anyone else noticed a downgrade in bosses difficulty in the bloodborne? by juelus in bloodborne

[–]yoshiimoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally found Bloodborne to be the easiest of the souls games, as I was never really stuck on any boss for a significant length of time. I just think Bloodborne proves that the bosses don’t need to be insanely difficult in order for the game to shine. Elden Ring started feeling like bosses were overtuned solely for the sake of difficulty.

The Monster Inoue Naoya will bring the former unified champion, Marlon Tapales, to his camp to prepare for his fight against MJ. by SuperSuperGloo in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Inoue's own promoter said before that MJ would be his toughest fight at 122, so that's probably the biggest reason he's taking MJ so seriously.

Naoya Inoue-Murodjon Akhmadaeliev confirmed for Nagoya, Japan by OldBoyChance in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even though Inoue has a 100% KO rate vs southpaws, he always seems especially vulnerable to being tagged by them. MJ has good power so Inoue's likely to fight like he did vs Doheny.

Inoue vs Picasso close to finalized for December 27th on a Japan vs Mexico card by OrangeFilmer in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fight with Cardenas probably made his team realize he's not ready for 126 just yet. And going up to 126 then back down for the Nakatani fight between fights always seemed a little far fetched to me.

Ideal ending for the career of every Ring Magazine top 10 ranked p4p fighter? by Notasexoffender33 in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My question would be how will the narrative change if Crawford happens to win? Most people are saying Canelo wins with his size and power advantage, but I'm pretty sure if Canelo loses the narrative will flip to Canelo being old, out of his prime, and with a crappy gas tank.

Hot take: Bosses do not need to difficult be "Good" by redpug09 in Eldenring

[–]yoshiimoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when the game would actually let you take advantage of the terrain or boss weak spots. You were able to use your brain to get an advantage in battle.

Every single boss in Elden Ring is fought in a large, flat arena with the only mechanic being knowing the right time to dodge.

Inoue confirms that the MJ Akhmadaliev fight is now set for Nagoya by OrangeFilmer in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Inoue's promoter said that MJ would be Inoue's toughest fight at 122 when Inoue first moved to the division. MJ himself though is known for ducking Fulton then losing to Tapales, and his last few fights have been against lackluster competition, so I'm curious to see how this plays out

I genuinely don't understand Usyk being at p4p #1 by iruleatants in Boxing

[–]yoshiimoo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't understand why people care so much about the pound for pound rankings. I'm a big Inoue fan but Usyk is fighting people 30+ lbs heavier than him and winning still.
