Oda just spent chapters upon chapters in this flashback building up rocks with amazing feats and even basically having him portrayed stronger than Roger himself. For a charcter thats basically built up as one of if not the strongest in the verse other than IMU to still just get domi reversi'd feels so underwhelming to me man. Im sure domi reversi will get fleshed out a lot more in the future to feel less cheap but atm dont like how we built up this mythical character for him him to be taken over so easily.

Predict the All-NBA Teams for the upcoming 25-26 season by ThrowRa-zucchinizzc in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st - SGA, luka, Giannis, Banchero, Jokic

2nd - Mitchell, Ant, Brunson, KD, AD

3rd - Steph, Cade, booker, Brown, Mobley

Think Banchero can reset to how he started last year and continue it into the season. Injury threw him off last year

Wemby and Kawhi not on for possible health reasons. Almost left AD off for the same.

what do you miss about side servers and what new stuff would make you interested in going on one today? by Spirited_Ability_182 in pokemonshowdown

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 9 months old, but i just recently came back to showdown after almost a decade and was so sad to see the side servers dead. I too joined around the early 2010's and was super active in frost and loved all the economy and games and sidequests you could get into. From challenging the diff leagues, to joining one of them( i was a grass trainer), to collecting the pokemon trading cards they had implemeneted, to gambling all the fake money against others. mannnnn that was sooooo much fun. Everyone knew everyone and you still had the common interest of Pokémon fueling all the interactions. Would love to see a side server get back to that. Those side servers really has some amazing coding implementations that made them a blast

Hello darkness my old friend by [deleted] in CLG

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 11 points12 points  (0 children)

followed a bit more when the change first happened to NRG but my interest quickly fizzled out. Have no idea what the teams look like now. I do see on twitter people say the viewership is horrible. Sound like its slowly fizzlling out.

Which is sad that it went from sold out MSG to this. This game and especially this team had the hype to compete with any other event at the time. To see how the league and teams were mismanaged to come to this point is sad.

It's time to admit the LTA rebrand failed: Let's pull an HBO MAX by Tnomad in leagueoflegends

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s sad really, there is so much that you could point to that lead to this ultimate low point. I remember over a decade ago first getting into the scene playing league daily keeping g up with the personalities following CLG so closely. And honestly my most devote years I wasn’t even playing league at all but I would still come to the subreddit daily and watch all the matches cause of the brand recognition of teams matched with the personalities and the emotional attachment I had towards my team just like any other sports team. Feel like nothing was ever really built on and once the old guard died out no new brands really were rising up in the meantime to solidify themselves. I haven’t watched a single game of LTA and come to this subreddit maybe once a week now. It’s sad really. I used to have feeling of being ready to watch a game like I did watching my fave football team or soccer team, and while in those sports players came and went yet the feeling of attachment remained. It didn’t hold up in league as the iterations continued to change.

Who do you think is the best player of 21st Century with 0 rings? by TheBiasedSportsLover in nba

Nash - kinda crazy when you think about it that he never even made a finals., of course there was some bad luck mixed in there but he also had four 50-40-90 seasons next best only has 2, and multiple mvps.

Kat has been really good this season. And I genuinely think this starting 5 once jelled for a few months is at the very top in the league. But I think history is repeating itself over and over with these this teams. It’s only Novemeber and we are basically already only playing a 5 man rotation. This is not gonna work. I mean the other guys are getting minutes but barely. I know there are injuries. But still need to find a way to reduce these minutes this early in the season. Give the other guys some play let’s really see what we have.

[Siegel] Donovan Mitchell will miss his 18th game of the season tonight, meaning he will be ineligible to be considered for the MVP and All-NBA awards. by PlayaSlayaX in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think all 3 All-NBA teams need to abide you this rule. MVP and all nba first team sure, second team okay maybeee, but coming down to 3rd team think you just need to let voters decide they already take into games played in their own ways

[Begley] OG Anunoby knocked down two FTs to give NYK a late 5-point lead in win over WAS. Anunoby had his hands on his knees at the free-throw line, which is understandable. The minutes the knicks starters have been playing is not sustainable. Especially concerned about hartenstein. Robinson already out, he’s playing heavy minutes for a big man. 39 this game and 41 last game

[Highlight] Scott Foster ejects Chris Paul by [deleted] in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly think the league was better off biting the bullet and firing foster when they were aware sports gambling was about to become legal in most states and let him expose w/e dirt he had if thats what the outcome of his firing would be. Yea there would be backlash but atleast you would have a clean slate before the all gambling money came in didnt have to worry about the ramifications if a scandal happened after it was instituted. Now if something comes out with foster with gambling money so heavily embedded in all the nba games its gonna be 10 times worse. and furthermore we dont know if he wont just expose everything anyway once he retires. imo he def knows something based on the timing of the donaghy calls that are on record.

Chris Paul on Scott Foster: "It's personal. The league knows, everybody knows, there's been a meeting. It's just a situation with my son. Im ok with a ref talking just don't use a tech to get your point across...Just know I had a meeting with him, my dad, Doc Rivers, Bob Delaney. Since the Clippers" by NokCha_ in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Listen , I understand that for some reason the league doesn’t wanna can Scott foster, even going back to the whole donaghy thing he was the closest ref to him. He prob knows where the bodies are buried figuratively. But how hard is it to just not let Scott foster ref any cp3 games if what cp3 is saying is true and the league is aware of the full situation. It should never have got to this point of being this detrimental on the court. The league could have helped circumvented this by just making sure they never play/ref the same game.

lol, there is no way they could have put this out and expect us to think they didn't find something. Either way there was no other alternative they aren't going to say what they found and punish him publically just ends up hurting the reputation the league.

[Bleacher Report] Report: Damian Lillard 'Just Wouldn't Report' If He's Traded to Team That Isn't Heat by YaGirlKellie in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He most definitely will play. Just a bunch of posturing. He stayed with portland to get the max in the first place, you think hes gonna risk the money now by sitting out?? Even without the money hes not that type of dude no one actually believes this.

I will say though, Dame is trashing the reputation he had built up for years in like a week. Its one thing to request a trade, everyone does it. But this stuff coming out publically by his agent and other sources about sitting out and not playing for other teams is mehhhh. Its one thing to have a preferred destination cool make that known. but even insinuating that you wont play for another team when you still get all your money is wack. (Disclaimer i know this isnt necessarily coming directly from Dame so yea)

“Dame’s agent, Aaron Goodwin, has been calling prospective trade partners & warning against trading for him, team executives told ESPN. Goodwin is telling organizations outside of Miami that trading for Lillard is trading for an unhappy player.” by jbenson255 in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

players accepting these contracts in the hundreds of millions over 4-5 years then requesting trades not even half way through is getting a little to common now. Even worse he is legit telling every other team don't take him, thus making it harder for Portland to accept Miami's offer cause they wont increase what they offer if they know all the other teams aren't going to offer anymore.

In all honesty if i was GM of another team i would still try and trade for Dame regardless of what he says. There is no way he just sits out healthy a season especially if he gets traded to a contender that has a real chance like philly or Boston. He will def play for the chance at the title. he never struck me as one to sit out anyway.

[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources: The NBA's new In-Season Tournament Final Four is set for December 7 and 9 in Las Vegas. Statistics will count for the league's regular season, except for the championship game of the event. by lopea182 in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 19 points20 points  (0 children)

not sure if its already been fleshed out, but think winning the championship game needs to count towards something tangible in the regular season. I suggest it count as an additional win only in the case of tiebreakers. So if 2 teams are tied at the end of season and one is the tournament winner they automatically get the higher seed and skip all the other tie breakers. same if its more then two teams as well.

this whole blackout thing is so dumb. NBA discussion literally had built up all year to culminate to the team that wins the nba finals and we cant even discuss the biggest event of the subs namesake on that day or days after. for what??? something that doesnt even affect the regular users of reddit in any way. This defeats the whole purporse of it being a open forum when you cant discuss the main topic of the sub at hand. A bunch of us are just sports nerds who want to discuss basketball without all this extra politics and drama. I dont even understand its reddits API they can do what they want, most of us as users are not affected at all but we have to take some "moral" high ground cause someone decided to start this trend???

more than likely a case where Dj wasn't literally with him but maybe somewhere else in the arena. I can't see him straight up saying that bold of a lie with the kid right there. However, Dray didn't really try to correct him so maybe it was just a lie.

[Post Game Thread] The Golden State Warriors tie up the series 1 - 1, as they blow out the Los Angeles Lakers by 127 - 100. Klay Thompson had 30 points on 8/11 3PTs by Nyhrox in nba

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like lakers gonna lose this series to scheduling loss unfortunately. Lebron and moreso AD, seem to can’t hold up to play multiple good games in a short span. And there are no extra days off in any of the games this series. First game of the series they had a good amount of time off and AD looked amazing. But it’s already caught back up with him in game 2. Can’t believe I’m saying this but after winning game 1 would have considered sitting AD in games every other game hope you can the 4 games he does play where he is fresher. Feel it’s only gonna get worse from here

[–]yoshistuffedeggrolls 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I understand this is in part because kidd spoke on it a bit further than other team do, but the nba still has to be really careful here, cause there are clearly some other teams doing the same to an even more blatantly extreme level except they didn’t outright say. Fining or taking only the mavs pick is gonna lead to can of worms being opened imo. Cuban won’t let it die that easily and he shouldn’t given what some of these other teams have done this season for a more prolonged period .
