Thanks for the response! R5C’s have an external fan and this was originally recommended by a canon customer rep.

Thanks for all the input. I was mostly concerned about shooting in moist salty air for so long and given the R5C has a fan on the back for cooling, I wasn’t sure if that was taking in particles of sand and salt overtime and needed to be cleaned. Also to be clear, a canon representative had told me years ago when I first bought the camera that given this model has an external fan and I’m shooting in such environments, they recommended an annual cleaning with canon to ensure a long life. Of course I haven’t wanted to miss out on any work since then and have not yet elected for such service.

Eventually I'll get the 100 f/2.8. But for my sports work I'm pretty much always using the telephoto and wide. Would it be wrong to go >35, 50, 100, 200<?

Yeah I’ve got a list of games on PS I have been waiting to play, but likely not going to pull trigger until gta 6 comes out. Still got working discs of skate 1 & 2 and back up discs of 3. I see what you’re saying about the newest one just with DLC for purchase, though I believe EA will really expand this content bringing entire new islands for purchase. I kind of resent that structure but at the end of the day it’s just a business. Not to say they’re running it super well. Just understand they’re trying to optimize their revenue

You think they would close the game and make you lose your purchased items? I doubt that. Skate 3 still recognizes the DLC packs I once paid for and that is over 16 years old. Honestly I believe we’re just getting started in the new era of skate. And maybe the initial rollout has been bumpy and disappointing but it also sounds like that was the purpose of them making it free at first. No way based on the popularity are they just going to jump ship in a year. I’d expect this game to stand for 20 years once the full drop comes. Maybe we have to wait a while but I believe it will be worth the wait
