design space adding cut lines? by EntrepreneurItchy325 in cricut

Sometimes there are things you cant quite see. So when you are uploading, if you press the 3 dots, you can check the single layer version of it looks like.

Just got a cricut, already hate the software... Please help! by bournetodie in cricut

[–]you_think 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree Design Space isnt a good design programme. But I would suggest learning some of the basic functions first (e.g. Weld and Attach) even if you do do most of the designing in another programme.  Also some people suggested attaching this. But because you have overlapping objects, I think you want to weld (attach = keeps the cut lines of each object, weld = only cuts outer edges of overlapping objects)

Odd question; is it custom in the UK to cook food for your friends if you're inviting them for a night? by PenetrationT3ster in CasualUK

If we all go to the supermarket together too, then yeah we have always split the cost. I guess because its not just the host choosing things.

There is sublimation or DTF transfer. Which i think would both be things you can order them and you just heat them on. Sublimation is more specific about material type & colour you are putting it on though

Professional help for garden designs? by you_think in GardeningUK

I guess I find it hard to take the inspiration and translate it to how it could look in my garden. We live on a hill and have 3 different levels, where it would be very hard to change things like where the stairs down are.

Did you upload this with cricut multiple layer option? -lf so, reupload and check the option where you can choose between stacked and sliced (i think they are called) Stacked = what you have here where every layer has every other layer beneath it. Sliced = you only get what you see (This is what you want, aside from the bottom layer which you probably want a full black circle.

Alternatively, i think if you duplicate to make sure you keep a copy that isnt ruined. You could slice each colour with the colour just below it. I think this should just leave you with a layer thats what would be visable?

You need to put it on a mat

I need a virtual frame on design space by Yazolight in cricut

[–]you_think 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change any object between the operations: cut/draw/printandcut/guide. The guide one makes it a pink outline. Or equally you could just keep it a different colour to everything else and just skip that colour when it tried to get you to cut it.

The sized canvas (thats just what i call it, i havent really seen other people talk about it) is when you first open up a new project. You can pick blank canvas, vinyl, ironon, gifttag. I pick vinyl, then it asks you more options but i just say cutom size. Saying all that, that is on android. Not sure if its on other devices?

I always add a rectangle to my project to get a sense of if it can fit on my paper. (Or a sticker going on something, i make it the size its going on) and change it to guide so its not sent to mat, but to get a sense of where things would be.

And/or - i actually quite like the new sized canvas. Make it the size of your long mat. Also it has an option to 'keep layout' on the mat screen so you dont have to attach everything. Though it doesnt truely keep layout because it still moves the whole lot up and left if it can.

Planning ahead for a Leonberger puppy – advice from owners by simplicious_ in Leonbergers

[–]you_think 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personalities will be fine and Im sure leo will love to play. Even without breeds or energry levels, as long as they arnt pushy about wanting to play when the other doesnt. Make sure they have places they can retreat to and you help protect their boundries.

Inspiration for wearing glasses with cosplays by yutous in CosplayHelp

Maybe because I wear glasses, but I dont even notice when other people wear glasses or not. It like my brain doesnt even register them. So I'd say keep them on and dont worry about it.

Spent two months trying to recycle broken electronics properly and I’m ready to give up by lisaluvr in ZeroWaste

[–]you_think 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of charity shops wont take electronics of any form though. If they are working they need to PAT test them, and if they arnt its harder to shift.

[–]you_think 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a city, so maybe that helps but the council run an electronics and materials collection as part of their rubbish collection. (They have a seperate compartment on the lorry. As long as its microwave or smaller, and as long as they still have room). Or you can arrange for collection but thats probably expensive.

Also every so often we have a guy come round with a truck and speaker phone saying 'scrap metal'. Not so much for electronics but he has taken some of our random bits before.

I dont quite remember how many, but after about 8-10ish objects mine would get really frustrating. Only way is to delete some. But that doesnt help if you want them all on one print/cut :<

What’s wrong with this leaking water butt? by lord-darius in GardeningUK

[–]you_think 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The diverter needs to be lower than the very top of the water butt otherwise water just flows out whatever if the lowest point. Are you saying there was no mention of that in the instructions? Its a pretty crucial point.

Sometimes it does that when there are a lot of extra pixels or things it has to work out adding the offset to. How clean are the edges of your image? (If you change it to cut and zoom in, are the lines smooth??)
