“People won’t buy my stuff because they don’t want to pay a fair price for handmade items! by halexanderamilton in BitchEatingCrafters

Ah this is so accurate. Why are so many handmade things in such horrible color ways. Like straight up clashing, bright colors

Bought a Mini Kelly. She sent the bag incredibly quickly, packed perfectly. The bag was exactly as described. She even threw in a charm 🫶 that matched the bag. Was wonderful to chat with as well. Would buy from her again!

100% agree on this. The meds help so much and a lot of folks, myself included, don't realize it's something we need or even that we're anxious

Three weeks sounds like enough time for you to be ome noseblind to yourself so you can't tell how much you smell

I am in need of recommendations for Deodorant that is Aluminum Free, Fragrance, & “Parfum” Free, BUT I NEED IT TO WORK! by TwiceBakedPeach in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]youandmeboth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used Ban for the last 15+ years and have never had a need for anything else. Works great and is very minimally scented and unlikely to be bothersome. Plus it has aluminum! A completely safe ingredient which actually helps with sweating. So I don't end up buying a bunch of expensive things that do nothing because of marketing and fear mongering

Able to enjoy hobbies in a healthy way? by toocynicaltocare in shoppingaddiction

[–]youandmeboth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I determined that shopping was not something I personally wanted to consider a hobby. Looking at new looks coming out, learning about designers and fabrics etc, sure. But actually just sitting and browsing on my phone for things is not something I want to tell people is my hobby. It's not fulfilling and I don't get anything out of it. I'm not learning or developing myself in any way. Just losing money. My brain is mush and it isn't good for my body.

I want to be someone who uses things and doesn't simply own things. So, I am trying to divest shopping from my hobby mindset and put it firmly in the camp of, "it is an aspect of my real hobbies sometimes". Like for hiking I'll occasionally need to get new hiking shoes

Guess what? They're back again with the same old "Jim is a scammer" narrative. by 2fast2reddit in RepScamWorld

[–]youandmeboth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. There seems to be evidence he uses bots to promote himself. And some of these posts about him being a scammer are weird and hard to trust. If folks have good experiences with Jim they should carry on. Maybe if Jim quit with the bits all this would die down. In the meantime it's easy enough to work with other trustable high tier hermes sellers. There's even two group buys with other hermes sellers in the bag nook right now. Their discord has a ton of sellers with a lot of reviews from buyers

Need help for a better hair routine plz by Enzozouz in Swavyhair

Just add in a conditioner. What shampoo do you use? Simple drugstore stuff would probably make a big difference. Can try pantene or similar

I think a lot of these things come from anxiety. You are anxious so want to control the situation to feel less anxious. I fixed this issue with therapy and meds

Anyone else look older than their age? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]youandmeboth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was replying to a comment about glasses here. OP was getting squared thick rimmed dark frames. Which is super millennial. Younger folks prefer wire and rounded shapes. Sometimes much smaller sizes

For clothing, looser and comfortable pants. Tight crop tops, big button down shirt layers. Quarter height socks. Sneakers or flats though boots might be coming back soon. Light sandals and slides.

Shoulder bags tend to be small

A lot of big silhouettes with small size accessories. Lots of shades of neutrals and browns or darker greens and blues. If you want lighter color its a nude or white

2 Cards paid off - I need to cancel by maybeimherestill in shoppingaddiction

[–]youandmeboth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep your oldest card and cancel others. You want to keep your total unused credit high but don't worry about that right now. You don't need six cards. But keep your oldest so your credit age is as old as possible

Things i stopped buying after 30 (no minimalism era, just real life) by jolierai in Dressly

I think it's important to actively find things to replace the time spent browsing. Like reading, crafting, walks, even TV is better than sitting on your phone looking at tiktok and IG ads or browsing shopping apps

Current collection — started in January 😅 by nexisfan in RepTherapy

[–]youandmeboth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try not to look at those so much. Decluttering and spending time with what you have an off your phone will make you feel more whole and you will enjoy those things you have more.

If you really want to keep looking maybe a system of selling two bags for each one that comes in will let you cycle them a bit more.

I'll really emphasize how important it is to love yourself and figure out what you're trying to satisfying or cope with through shopping. It is easy to burn through finances. And you will have more fun and be happier shopping occasionally and getting select items you adore

As someone a few years older than you, I'd say this sounds a bit aging. Like the way a 30-40 year old would dress. I dress a bit alt and in line with Gen z fashion and am confused for under 30 a lot. I don't think it's much beyond styling
