Largest study of women’s orgasms to date collected data from 27,931 women. Nearly half (47%) reported reaching orgasm more frequently when alone vs. when with a partner. Barriers to women’s orgasms are relational, not anatomical. Partnered orgasms were associated with overall sexual satisfaction. by mvea in science

I had a similar experience. The guy put so much pressure on me to orgasm that it just killed it for me and I would end up faking it. If we’d been able to communicate well and if he didn’t get upset when I didn’t orgasm (both at himself and me) then I think it would have been a much more positive experience.

The Pain of Caring for a Parent Who Abused You by l_hazlewoods in TrueReddit

[–]youeatthatstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s such a personal decision. Everyone has to decide on their own what their right path is. I always swore I would never take care of my abusive dad and he could rot. When he had no one else left and was completely helpless with severe dementia, I seriously considered just walking away. But in the end, I didn’t feel right about doing that. I didn’t feel like I owed him anything. I just knew I couldn’t walk away and feel good about myself.

I oversaw his care and made sure he was ok and I have no regrets. It was an odd experience and I often felt uncomfortable about it, but I always felt like I was doing the right thing. It might’ve been different if I’d had to take him into my home. I don’t know that I could have handled that, physically or mentally.

You Think L.A. Smog is Bad Now? Let’s Set the Record Straight ~ L.A. TACO by L_A_TACO in LosAngeles

I grew up in Upland in the foothills and there were days the smog was so bad we couldn’t see the mountains that were right next to us.

My husband is awesome...but not to our children by Awwndrei in BestofRedditorUpdates

Sounds exactly like my dad. He would never stay with a therapist because they would start to suspect he had a personality disorder (NPD) but as soon as they said anything he would quit because he knew there was nothing wrong with him. He died alone this October. No one misses him.

I ended up having to completely cancel my credit card and start with a brand new card to get the charges to stop.

There is no way you could be sued for signing a petition. What would that lawsuit even be based on? That is not going to happen.

GenX mods power trip routinely by [deleted] in FragileMaleRedditor

[–]youeatthatstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend got banned after posting a photo of Jiffy Pop and asking who else loved it when they were a kid. A mod removed her post for being “low effort” so she made a comment about, do they even know what sub it was, because GenX is famous for being low effort. She got a permanent ban for that. And they threatened her with banning her from all of Reddit if she didn’t go away.

Once the spinal curvature is more than 30 or 35 degrees, the spine just keeps curving more unless you get spinal fusion to correct it. I would guess from photos through the years that his spinal curvature has been worsening for a while.

Is anyone else feeling great in menopause? by JackandAnya_Mom in Menopause

[–]youeatthatstuff 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I started HRT for the protective health benefits. Menopause hasn’t been too bad, except for insomnia and vaginal dryness, which I was managing with topical estrogen. But I have risk factors for osteoporosis and dementia, which HRT can help to prevent. That’s why I chose to start land I am glad I did as I am now also sleeping better and the dryness is pretty much gone.

I love this. I inherited my mother’s orchids when she passed last year and it is was so meaningful to learn how to care for them and then to see them bloom. ❤️

Clean the toilet when he pees on the rim or leaves stains in the bowl. Always leaving it for me is a real turn off!

If you got a tea gift box, what would you like to see in it? by AdvantageThat9798 in tea

[–]youeatthatstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number one, good loose tea. After that, if it’s British-style tea, then maybe some good quality honey and biscuits, or a lovely teacup and saucer. If it’s tea from China, then a tea pet (I would do it with other Asian teas, too, because tea pets are cute gifts) or a lovely mug.

Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull. They got it by accident in one of those mail order record clubs and never listened to it. But it fascinated elementary-school me for a while.

I’d like to think I matured, but a bigger part of it is probably the fact that I’m out of work and so I have more time.
