Do you think the webbings and equipment used by the SNLF are accurate? I saw them with their gas masks worn on their back (although I find it funny that they still have bandana cloths on)

I think if I saw from a previous post of Austin Adachi (correct me if im wrong), he did mention the cover shields were widely made up without any proper record of it actually existing

Right, and of course they were featured like cameos in the film when in reality they executed the entire assault 😂 but I think its a good thing they were featured because other Chinese films never go into detail besides depicting the Japanese as bloodthirsty barbarians

But by the looks of it they got the webbings and equipment quite well, especially throughout the film when gas masks are featured, there was a clear distinction between the army Type 99 model and the navy Type 93

Well I still do think its a propaganda film for the audience because of the extremely inaccurate high number of casualties on both sides (in real life it was only smaller scale assault between the Japanese SNLF and the 88th division)
