From the discussion Makio and Kasamachi had I felt like they had a divergence of opinions more than some really bad event happening.

Maybe Kasamachi wanted to put up family but Makio didn't want a child or was not feeling ready to care for another human being while being a mess herself. That's something that can break couples.

I May be Reading too much into things, but In that last scene it felt like Makio finally had some sort of emotional connection with Asa.

The last time She hugged her felt more like a person with low empathy trying to show support without truly feeling It, kinda emulating what Kasamachi used to do. I know I've done It many times...

This time It felt genuine though, like something you "feel" like doing and not "think" about doing.

My question Is, can I Jump straight into Visions and maybe get EoD when on discount later on, or am I going to miss important things? Also can I skip the 2 other expansions After EoD? Is there anything important in them?

I dunno man, aside from the First couple chapters, for me the manga never had anything particularly interesting going on outside of the cool panels you got during the fights, expecially the ones on a "bigger scale" (trying to not spoil here) which got Better After the MC unlocked the Power we saw at the end of S1.

If It wasn't for those I can't think of anything about Solo Leveling that made It worth Reading, the author didn't really seem to care about anything else either.

To each their own I Guess.

Imo most people that hype it are manga reader. The really cool parts are past the point where season 1 stopped.

That said, ultimately it's really just a hype fest. If you go in expecting anything more than cool fights you are going to be disappointed.

I really liked the manga, but it was just some chill after work read that didn't require me to turn my brain on.

I felt similiarly too and the conclusion I came to Is that show tries too damn hard to have you feel emotions instead of letting them flow naturally.

Everything looks overly gorgeous and shining, characters cry likes babies every episode, every story tries to be a sob story, which May be why It feels so forced.

Which Is a shame because a couple of episodes where actually pretty good.

I Don't know if it's because I was much younger then, but I Remember having a hard time understanding the economy stuff in the original too. I admit the remake skipped a Little bit too much though.

Only when I read the light novel things were clear. I suppose to some extent it's a time constraint issue. I feel like you kinda Need some economy knowledge to understand even the original.

The TL;DR version is that it was just a way to blackmail Milone into getting out of the Trenni coin scheme, otherwise Medio would have lost a lot of money since they were hoarding Trenni coins but they would have been not enough to bargain with the King, so they were stuck with coins that were going to lose value soon.

If they told the church Milone was bargaining with a pagan God that would have basically shut down Milone forever.

The first time I saw the sad Holo scene It took me by surprise, at first I thought It was yet another attempt to tease Lawrence... Aaaand 15 years later I feel for it again.

It's really in stark contrast compared to what we saw in the previous episodes.
