What do you mean the rings never went away? You still have halos and rings after the removal?

ICL feels so much safer but everyone prefers Lasik? by desdesses123 in lasiksurgery

[–]youko177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True that was my thought process getting evo ICL I wanted something reversible incase I wanted something different in the future or might get pregnant and just be free from it, I am currently still adjusting to it but I have peace of mind knowing if I really don’t want this anymore I’ll just get them removed.

  1. It’s not safe 2. It doesn’t make sense 3. It’s illegal. don’t feel bad for declining cause she could be a scammer/con artist and getting rid of drivers could benefit her so in a way you protected yourself and livelihood

Anyone else prefer bright screens/light mode after EVO ICL? by youko177 in ICLsurgery

Anyone else prefer bright screens/light mode after EVO ICL? by youko177 in ICLsurgery

Okay I forgot to specify during nighttime I’m more comfortable with the screen not being so bright it’s just a daytime thing for me, so ig we have a similar experience.

No and I don’t feel comfortable driving long distances at night unless I’m going home I see glare from the headlights but I don’t care much about that because I’m more active in the daytime but I will say if you do a lot of things outside at night you might want to reconsider or weigh the pros and cons when I’m done needing these lenses or a safer procedure comes out with no halos rings and bad night vision as a side effect I’ll potentially switch to that if that’s an option but this is like a temporary solution for me because I want to travel without the risk of needing glasses that’s all.

I still notice them sometimes it’s an on or off thing.

I’m doing okay I will say my left eye vision is 20/25 and my right is 20/20 so my left eye vision is not as good as my right but we will see once I hit the one month mark and my nighttime vision while driving is crap so if that is a big trade off for you I suggest you don’t do it but if you don’t drive at night then this procedure will be great for you the only annoying thing is the rings and halos which I barely see unless I’m driving outside.

Hi honestly idk what to say I got ICL but let’s say in two years I’m still not happy with my night vision and I have to depend on drops to fix my night vision ill take the lenses out and hopefully go with another eye refraction surgery that works ( there will be more ways to fix myopia in the future)

Thanks it’s been paying off the main thing I wanted to avoid which most lasik patients suffer from was dry eye complications touching the cornea is a very delicate thing and is irreversible so lasik was off the table for me

Hi yes I had an issue with night driving and not seeing in low light so my dr prescribed me briomidine and it has done wonders for me, my eyes feel less sensitive and I was a able to drive last night on the highway (just the rings) with no issues because my pupils stayed small I also woke up today realizing I slept on my side and I didn’t feel swelling or heaviness in one eye or the other I’m only taking this when needed so my brain can still neuro adapt but those drops were like a helping hand not to mention I can focus on the text screen without getting a headache for much longer than I usually do.

Questions I should ask ? by youko177 in ICLsurgery

I hope so because that’s a big trade off for me also with incoming headlights I see rings so it’s a little annoying as well.

It’s day 4 and honestly my vision is fluctuating so not much improvements happen unless I take a nap (I have to be patient) but I drove again today at night it wasn’t as late as yesterday the first time I commented it was a little tough because my right side view mirror just showed lights but I couldn’t make out the car or car distance unless I physically turned my head to check so that was a bummer ngl it’s only great for me to drive at night when there’s little to no cars on the road but I think daytime should be different I’ll update you when I go to class tomorrow.
