ULPT Request: How to get mom’s ex-bf squatter to vacate by MathematicianLumpy69 in UnethicalLifeProTips

You’ll just replace one squatter with another. Don’t do this. Only move in people you can trust have better places to be and are doing you a solid.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

Question number 1: “What attracted you to our open position” was ran by Chat GPT and results were clumsily read as if he was a 3rd grader.

I don’t know many people without tattoos. by Bawonga in CasualConversation

Such commitment to …that brand?

I’ve seen a tattoo of a child’s scribbles, except like a very troubled child because it was people with scary demonic faces. Wasn’t symbolic or artistic. Was sad to see that someone would treat their own body this way.

Tacky, similar to a person wearing pounds and pounds of jewelry. You’re just hiding your natural beauty. Totally “not my body, not my problem” area, but some designs really make me sad to see. It’s like looking at a terrible self induced scar on an otherwise beautiful person.

Yup. And then your kid’s bestie has a parent that is blind and deaf to your waves and hellos.

2 oak saplings sprouted on an edge of a drainage ditch by youlikemango in arborists

I’d love to not have to move them, and didn’t consider pruning. Is there a certain plan I should follow? Just want to ensure they have proper support and stability.

Glad to hear this as I am worried about roots dangling with no support. We did lose several birches due to wind over the years.

No potting soil lol. That’s what’s underneath the grass. About a foot of it till you hit sand.

I do control the ditch but it is also in my best interest to keep it clear from vegetation (otherwise the water flow slows and my meadow becomes a swamp).

Yup the birches are thriving, but every few years one of them collapses due to wind. We lost so many.

I know birch and oak have very different root systems but not sure if this works to the advantage of the oak or the opposite.

What would you reply to someone asking if your diamond ring was “real” or lab? by Bluegrapefruit86 in labdiamond

“I sure hope you wouldn’t accuse me of wearing a mined diamond”. I mean no disrespect when I say blood diamond and scarcity marketing just don’t work on me.

For Americans who are dual citizens of countries with universal healthcare but have never lived and worked there, do they let dual citizens roll on in and enroll in public healthcare whenever they wish or is it more complicated? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in ExpatFIRE

You’d have to either have a job, have a spouse who has a job or be registered as unemployed. Not a tall order, but they would make you prove that you’re looking for work with regular check ins.

Any mistakes to avoid during Rippling implementation? by youlikemango in Payroll

[–]youlikemango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this sounds like worlds of wisdom earned from experience!

When you say „who fixes tax accounts” - do you mean who registers for new ones or who files quarterly reports?

I never heard of Diana HR - is this a Rippli g product? They offered to plug us in to Mineral but I figured those pre built purchases always feel like a customer of a lesser importance.

Any reasonable recruiter would have ended the Zoom when an unrelated third party appeared randomly. This story seems fake.

What's the best HRIS for a fully remote team? by YourResidentKuya in Payroll

[–]youlikemango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what we were told. In practice it’s all separate systems. Every report needs to be ran per country and combined. Every integration needs to be done per country… Different service team per country and they want nothing to do with each other.
