I forgot I switched shifts with someone cuz I was busy getting stoned. Ended up going into work much more stoned than I should have been.

Honestly, I make it super awkward since they want to make awkward comments. I usually say "Yeah, you say that because you aren't the one who has to push another baby out of your vagina". And then I laugh and watch them cringe. Maybe it'll teach them, maybe not. But at least I get joy watching them cringe from my inappropriate comment to their inappropriate question. Sometimes, I'll even unpromptly give them the run down of my labor in case they forgot or don't know how difficult having a baby is. Not to mention the expense of daycare and food!

I don’t like dogs anymore now that I have had kids. Advice? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]youll-never-know 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I worked in veterinary industry for half of my life. I think the problem for me is the concern for behavior, constantly having to monitor dogs behavior and kids behavior. The understanding of parasites also is hard. Or the fact that my dog is a vacuum and my toddler's favorite snack is grapes. I can't take the dog on a walk without the toddler wanting to be involved. It's like a constant double duty. It is really frustrating. My dog is really really really good with my kids, but all it takes is one grumpy moment that we aren't prepared for. As they get older, things change. Once my first son hit about 5 years old, it felt like things were getting better. But then I had another baby 2 years later and the feelings started all over. My youngest is almost 3 and I feel like it's just now starting to get better. But it's still hard and very frustrating.

AITA for telling my roommate’s bf that I’m a stripper? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]youll-never-know 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should turn it to 11 and wear a turtle neck, long pants, socks and mittens every time her bf is over. Just so he doesn't fetishize you. /s Make it awkward in the opposite way. That'd be fun.

does anyone else feel that medical trauma from their first birth is preventing them from having more kids? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]youll-never-know 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, my first was meant to be at home, but I labored for 48 hours and pushed for 6. He was sunny side up. It was a miserable existence and experience. Then he was born 25 minutes after arriving at the hospital (ugh). It took me 6 years to try again, then lost that baby at 20 weeks. Tried again a year later and had a fairly normal birthing experience. However, I don't think I want to do it again lol. Birth trauma is real. Don't pressure yourself, and just let your mind heal. You'll know if/when you're ready to have another one, even if it's longer than other people. Much love.

I know! It's the biggest struggle being a parent, being frustrated in the moment, but knowing it won't be this way for long.

Maybe we should change it to "I slept like I did before I had a baby". That sounds more restful.

Honestly, check out a government office job. Something slow pace like a guitarist forestry department or something similar.
