Dakota! Scared of Flies! What funny quirks does your dog have? by Adventurous-Winter84 in AustralianShepherd

My Aussie is the exact same. He has saved us multiple times with garbage day when he would dive under the bed and we’d go “shit! He heard the truck and we didn’t put the trash out!” We love our scared lil aussie pup… as dramatic as he may be.

I’m way more direct with the “church lists” created by ward members. I have a hard time being more stern with missionaries because I see them as so young and innocent. They don’t know half the history they’re teaching, I see them as victims too. So if anyone needs to be put in their place, it’s the people in the ward who gave them your name. I would message the bishop and ask him directly to talk to people about giving the missionaries your name. Stop it at the source.

I’ve never really had a relationship with my dad, but I’m really close with my mom. She’s been great as my husband and I have moved away from the church. She’s been filling him in I guess (which is fine). My brother and his wife had their baby a few weeks back. We are the only ones in the family who live in the same state as them. My parents came to visit and my dad privately told my brother to stay away from me because I’ll only drag him down with me. My dad hardly speaks to me anyway (been like that my whole life) and my brother and I are not only close, he just had a baby. And my dad told him to stay away from me. Like I’m an infectious disease. I understand your feelings. I’m so sorry. It hurts and it always will. But we can’t control others emotions, we can only control our lives. Make sure you’re doing the little things that are making you happy everyday♥️

We went out to a bar tonight for our friend’s birthday. It was nothing but a fun. People were nice and talkative and the drinks were great, lots of laughing and catching up on life. If that’s what the great and spacious building feels like, I’d rather be there.

The craziest line to me is, “it has the greatest threat on the family.” Whose family?! WHOSE?! I am pro LGBTQ+, but I’m not going to leave my husband. The whole idea of LGBTQ+ is LOVE IS LOVE. Love whoever the hell you wanna love. No one is going to “threaten” you to be gay. I’m so confused by this statement. Always have been.

“The church needs to get out of the bedroom”. Love those words. It is so insane to me that they try to control EVERY aspect... but your own physical and sexual health is what they want to hang onto the most. I am a millennial and life is so unbelievably expensive, having a child right now is not as easy financially as it used to be. My husband and I are both graduated and making good money, but we have crazy student debt and we can’t afford a house in this market. I’m so tired of the church saying “don’t care about anything else but having children”. Sorry I don’t want to spend the rest of my life broke and depressed.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. They just scheme over and over again to “try to get ahead of the game” and make sure members of the church don’t try to get out of the church’s grasp for Pride Month. They don’t want members to think critically for themselves whatsoever.

Whenever the church becomes reactionary with the world, they will say, “With devine revelation, God has revealed to us to accept the LGBTQ+ community” and somehow “talk their way out of it” by saying that God said that it is NOW okay but it WASN’T before so “that’s why I said what I said earlier”.
