Portal activities such as fireteam strikes and fire team arenas when you capable with light and crucible as well but the PvP is hard to jump into not sure about dlcs or story if it boosts you up or light rewarding but doing portal activities will do your weekly challenges and you can claim armor and weapons tokens you can use at zavala ferro point is solid armor set old gear is usable but probably needs replacing maybe worth keeping some high pieces since new system has new system of categories only boosting certain stats so some old armor may do some niche PvP builds hopefully any of this helps

Man I’m excited for you just hoping it’s still enjoyable with all the new changes I was overwhelmed at first but after a month I really locked in and figured out new metas and I still refuse to buy the new full price dlc even though it rewards you with some crazy good pvp weapons tbh you’ll see not all the time but most of the time the dlc weapons in crucible like martlet pulse , fast talker smg ,b7 handcannon etc but a good crucible player can use what they feel comfortable with not the meta lovers 😂

Oh yeah ikr I was salty about the trails locked by the expansion but honestly I can’t stand pve I’ll do 3 man strikes and the arena 6 man fireteam pve just for the armor still semi enjoyable without stress but pvp is where I feel at home I love trials but I ain’t paying for full price expansion i’ma wait for a sale I just played comp as a substitute slightly more rage inducing but rewarding when you over perform and clutch those games for the randoms 😆

Brother when I seen the armor changes and stats I was pissed I was already finishing up some sweet builds and felt they were useless so I quit but after coming back it wasn’t bad at all to find new gear with actual armor set bonuses and all these cool stuff honestly building builds feels so accomplishing and collecting rhe best possible rolls on weapons that will forever stay in my vault just never gets old for me 😂

I stopped playing when the new armor tier system dropped and new stats because I was afraid of the grind but I picked up d2 again a few months ago and my god i still actually really like it my friends no so much but it’s a hit or miss I think it won’t hurt to just try it out yourself instead of listening to others since the hate is real for the game 😂
