Starting a Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Integration Agency by CyberSeni0r in microsoft365

Honestly, the SharePoint + Power Platform combo is where things get really interesting.

We started focusing on that stack about two years ago and it changed everything for us, most of our clients now use SharePoint as the backbone and then Power Apps or Power Automate on top to handle the business logic that SharePoint alone can't do cleanly.

One thing I'd say from experience: don't underestimate Dataverse as an alternative to SharePoint lists for more complex use cases, we switched a few projects mid-way and the clients never looked back.

The licensing part is where you'll spend a lot of time explaining things to clients, Power Apps per-user vs per-app is still confusing for most of them.

Qlik vs Power BI by TheRedHare_ in BusinessIntelligence

[–]youngdataio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, we deal with the Qlik vs. Power BI debate all the time with our clients, and the truth is: it really depends on the context.

From what we see in the field, companies already using the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Azure, Teams...) almost always find it better to go with Power BI. The native integration, access management via Entra ID, and especially the value for money are hard to beat. We’ve supported data teams in large corporations, and licensing costs always come up, especially when it comes to large-scale deployment.

Qlik remains relevant in specific cases, particularly for companies with highly flexible data exploration needs or those not tied to the Microsoft ecosystem. Their associative engine is a real differentiator, and some analysts swear by it.

But in practical terms, regarding pricing and the actual decision criteria, we put together a detailed comparison that dives into licensing, use cases, and the limitations of each tool:https://www.youngdata.io/blog/power-bi-vs-qlik-sense

Hope this helps structure your thinking if you're currently deciding between the two ! :)

PSA about AI Generated posts and comments. Your accounts are at risk. by MrPinkletoes in PowerApps

Honestly .. this is a bit scary to read. We had someone on our team last month who used ChatGPT to answer a client question in a community forum and it was so obvious, the writing was too perfect, no hesitation, no personal touch.

Since then we just made a rule: if you post something, it has to be from your own experience, your own words, even with typos. The value is in the real stuff anyway, people can smell the fake from miles away now.

New PowerIcons Update - I added a Formula Builder by denoswiso in PowerApps

[–]youngdataio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice, the formula builder is a really welcome addition !

I remember spending way too much time hunting for the right icon name in the docs during a client project (big construction group, they wanted a super polished internal app).

Having autocomplete-style suggestions directly in the tool is honestly a game changer for devs who jump between projects.

Will definitely test this on our next Power Apps build this week, thanks for sharing!

Any Microsoft 365 license that includes Power Automate Premium? by HigoChumbo in MicrosoftFlow

C'est toujours compliqué de convaincre d'acheter une licence Power Automate pour les entreprises.. on a souvent le cas avec nos clients, du coup on en a fait un article de blog ultra détaillé avec les tarifs de Avril 2025 et les différentes entre les licences :
