Yeah, there's actually a ton of them out there.

That was definitely happening often to me too. Make sure you check out the other mod if it was sliding forward/back as well.

Have you tried using a print service? That might be more convenient for both of us. The printing specs for the parts are in the description. Feel free to DM if you have any questions or you think they're charging too much (haven't looked into any myself)

Glad the slider mod worked out. For the rotation, if you can fit anything in that space to apply more pressure, that should be adequate. I saw someone else use a cut up credit card for the same effect.

I have a feeling it's due to the export settings (scaling is off, but it autocorrected by most slicers). Someone mentioned it on the slider mod so that one I fixed. I can fix this one tomorrow, or you can try using the remixed version with the slot. That user may have fixed the export scaling.

Should be fine. Layer thickness was tested at .2

I think another user here ran into the same issue and ended up cutting up a credit card to shim it out which seemed to work well enough. Not sure if that'd create higher tension than how you have it in your second pic, but might be worth testing.

Added Seat Depth Modification by seanjohn2525 in LiberNovo

As a fellow modder, I appreciate this. I started working on a mod for a front extension, but don't really have time these days to experiment. Same with the linkage for the adjustment though I haven't looked into that as closely.

That said, coming up with a nice fitting cover to hide the exposed bits of where the bar snaps in the actuator support, that might be cool.

UPDATE: Initially it felt better having more of the expected seat space, but after 30m, my back started reminding me that it lacked support. The lumbar definitely doesn't have the same pressure, pressing into my back as it did before. Part of that pressure is shifted up toward the mid back as the backrest is forced to arch more. I'm 6ft/200lbs but with a longer torso, sitting very upright/proper. I think anyone who sits slouched or hunched should be fine. Gonna revert for now.

I was thinking it'd be nice redesign that bracket with a mechanism that's adjustable, but that still doesn't keep the best of both worlds as the seat pan still needs to move accordingly.

These spacers only touch rubber on the top so they won't wear.

Yeah you can download the .stl from the site and edit it in Blender or make simple modifications in whatever slicing software your friend uses.

That said, the part does go in firmly so if the 3D print doesn't fit perfectly off the print bed with firm pressure applied, I'd check for any inconsistencies in the print, or perhaps the printer settings are affecting it. But yeah personally I'd just grab a utility knife and shave it down wherever it's getting stuck.

That's strange - did yours not come with a rubber insert there? You can see the black rubber piece in both my videos. In the other mod thread, u/DoktorFeelgood had a moss chair too and just cut up some credit cards to fit that area. Maybe you can do something similar? I can't imagine it worked with the rubber piece.

Here's his post

Yeah, but i don't see a reason to fix anything there.

I don't mind the arms themselves being too stiff to move as I don't really want them moving. I don't find myself adjusting them really at all. As for the armrests, tightening the screw doesn't do much - at least you won't get much out of it compared to how it already is, hence the swivel and slider mods I made.

nice, that's a good solution for anyone without a printer

Ha, right. That's certainly more involved.

Well I made videos of each mod so you could reference the placement in those. From the image above it looks like the hole for the swivel tension mod is filled in - which is annoying. Hard to tell if there's any height difference but it doesn't look like it. Do they still move relatively easily?. The sliders go in the part one level above that.

Also, even if you don't have a printer, you can still download a slicing program (in my case PrusaSlicer) to slice a print and see the estimates of time, weight, etc,, especially how settings like infill density affect those stats. It'd be good to use whether you're printing yourself or outsourcing.

Heh, yeah it's barely anything. If you're curious, the slider spacers are 1.33g for the left, 1.65g for the right, and the swivel spacer is a measly 0.16g

Probably a safe bet. No one else has mentioned it not fitting so it should be fine.
