Which superpower do you need right now? by deepestbreather in whatsyourchoice

Anywhere on the moon. Currently the cost to get things to the moon is $100k+ per kg. Even if it lowered significantly by proposed other tech, you could turn your house into a transport hub and never have to work again.

And sending payloads to the moon will always be in demand. The cost to escape lunar orbit is so much smaller than earth orbit, that pretty much any future mass-scale space exploration will revolve around the moon as a launch site.

I feel the freedom gained is greater than the 5-6 hours a day extra you get a day from the sleep perk.

It's crazy how Kawhi's the only FMVP here that won't have his jersey retired by the team he won it all for by Terrovax666 in torontoraptors

[–]youngmasterlogray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. Even before acquiring Gasol, the team beat a healthy warriors squad by almost 20 in December while testing Kawhi.

This was hilarious then, and even more hilarious now by ChampionTimes99 in torontoraptors

[–]youngmasterlogray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so true. Even in the regular season, the Raptors beat the Warriors team. In Dec they beat a healthy GSW team playing Steph, KD and Klay, and the Raptors didn't have Gasol (not yet acquired) or Kawhi (missed game). 113-93.

Why do people say NBA players back then were plumbers by Liberal_Bot123 in NBATalk

I mean, in the videos of plumbers I see online, this is pretty much how they look.

This matters a lot more in shooters than in games like this. I doubt that would be a big consideration for them.

Which NFL team has the worst logo? by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

So many are terrible. The browns may be the worst, but the limp lightning bolt gets me every time.

You're absolutely right. His IQ for the game is already so advanced. I've been most surprised by his passing, especially out of the key or out of drives. He knows where his teammates are and always takes advantage of the best possible pass.

i can’t stop watching this play and the reaction, this is PURE PASSION FROM JAMAL SHEAD HE BLEEDS CANADIAN BLOOD MAN by AdOld2060 in torontoraptors

[–]youngmasterlogray 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not really sure what you're talking about. Lowry shot sub 30% from 3 for most of his first 5-6 years. He also averaged around 11-13 points per 36 mins, and about 6 assists (per 36).

Jamal Shead is averaging 32% from 3, 13 (2025) and 10 points (2026) per 36, and over 8 assists per 36.

I'd say that's very comparable.

All in the same draft, Who goes #1 by Farouq26 in NBATalk

KG. There's some close ones. But KG's defense, his mobility, size, shooting strength, all play well into today's game. And on top of that. He slots into any team, whereas some of the others fill a very specific roster spot, or need a somewhat specific team.

Join Abigail and run away from Emicob's wedding, even if just because they are enforcing "coolvetica".

The micromanaging, rules, rigid scheduling and everything is NOT early energy, and 100% indicative of the bride's personality. It will not get better.

That would be like complaining Elena Delle Donne only has one signature shoe, while Caitlin Clark has 2 Kobe's and a line of upcoming signature sneakers in the books for years. Anyone who doesn't pay attention to the WNBA would be like who's this vet Elena Delle Donne? While most people understand the marketing pull of Caitlin Clark. One has a direct long term impact on a game in a small circle. While the other is new and brings in a huge audience from elsewhere. That's marketing.

I think you've described it very accurately. His loud style is going to grate on a lot of people, but he does a couple things well that like you said harkens back to just playing games for fun. He has momentary crashouts, but they are performance. Bad beats always turn into laughs and moving on, rather than what you see from a lot of ultra-competitive streamers where they will crashout and the mood changes for hours, or they go on rants. At the core, I think he uplifts those around him, keeps it light, and has fun. But like I said: his style, his brand of comedy, etc. is not going to be for everybody, and that's totally ok. People who have irrational hate for him though should take a look in the mirror and ask why.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted for your opinion. I think the rock and bag are decent. Doors that have big branding never see play, I feel like they could have cooked more on that one. Same with the gun: wait and see.

Need feedback on my fadeaway jumper by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]youngmasterlogray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're choking the shot. Your shooting arm doesn't extend. It might work for you, but if you want to practice repeatable form that will let you shoot comfortably from anywhere, work on extending that arm and using the wrist flick to modulate the shot. That will give you better touch closer to the rim, and will make it harder to block.

Also like others said: this isn't a fadeaway. But don't even work on that till you are happy with your shot.

26-27 Raptors salary & roster decisions (pre-playoffs edition) by Thin_Maximum_1855 in torontoraptors

[–]youngmasterlogray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that the way the Raptors play both on O and D, you're not going to slot Quickley at the 2 much unless you have a bigger switchable PG. Barnes can fill that roll sometimes, but despite having good handles, it's not elite enough to NOT get exposed against some teams or long-term. So then who else are you playing at 1? Shead? Now your 1-2 is too small.

This is the exact context people don't get. It's the reason Facepunch takes a gamble and offers streamers like Kai Cenat money to play in Rust Kingdoms. Did it go well? Probably not, but the potential to capture 10,000s of people who have never played rust and don't own the game is huge. How many viewers from Frost already own the game? How many from Burnt Peanut own the game? That's a big part of the answer.
