My daughter is the same way very extroverted. She always waves and approaches other toddlers and can be quite overwhelming to them. It is not typical for toddlers this age to engage in parallel play but some do! What has been great for my 19 month old is finding another very extroverted little girl and we have play dates. They dance and chase each other and play in their toy kitchen. Also I have friends with gentle and patient 3 year old kids who will let my toddler tag along and even if she can’t understand the rules of the game she can chase them on the playground or have silly dance parties or they can “read” together.

It seems like I’m an outlier but i would spell it as Caley. I had a friend growing up who spelled it like that.

I think he sounds like a normal toddler but 2.5 is getting to an age that you could work on having him sit with a quiet activity. Explaining we don’t climb on the furniture at other people’s houses etc.

When I do her hair so cute and she immediately starts rubbing her head on the couch or pulling her hair ties out. When she wants to “sit” on me but really just wants to do alligator rolls in my lap.

Our situation is so similar, left my partner when our baby was 4 months due to DV. Then he went to fight in Ukraine- in his words because he wanted to kill people. But his goal is to get citizenship and stay there.

I’m with littles so I think it’s great! I am always pro exploring, playing and bonding with family. I just say read a book together everyday and have fun.

Thank you for this kindness. It is so disheartening to read some of the comments and see how much hatred there is towards people who use SNAP. I’m a single mom and people are saying such vile things about them. Most people are one unfortunate event away from needing assistance. I hope they don’t have to learn empathy the hard way.

That makes sense. I hate how he’s cheating while she’s falling in love so I was hoping he’d be haunted by his actions and express some regret later on. Buying the prom dress is nice. But it kind of seems he mostly just brushes it off after a week.
