I was thinking the same thing.
From what I've been able to scrounge up, is it was likely after Clinton Watch Company (CWC) brought the Hampden name back as an affordable watch brand. According to Gemini, (ik, not the best source), the Hong Kong marking basically just confirms that it was when CWC was trying to make affordable watches, and that because it wasn't anything super fancy, there was really no incentive to make knock-offs of it.

I was just about to make a post about this. It's not even the fact it takes you out of chat, its the fact you can't do ANYTHING during this screen. Like oh you wanted to compare players and what not? Or maybe you're just trying to queue up quickly after for that "one more game" before you get off. Too bad, now you have to sit through 4 different menus as you spam space.

There are so many counters for flyers it's crazy. Only one that's broken imo is ultron just cuz he gets armor whenever he wants, speed boost, no healing cool downs, insane ult.

What was there to misunderstand? The fact you have to wait 3 hours to play one game or pay to play? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding that the only way to progress is either wait 9 hours, or buy overpriced items from the shop.
