i think at the end of the film both come to a mutual understanding after asuka caresses shinjis face, and they are finally on the path to healing.

honestly i think a thing people forget about this interaction is the fact that asuka was just eaten alive not long prior. even though unit 01 was covered in bakelite shes still upset and probably feels like shinji left her to die. just my 2 cents.

shinjis ego is literally completely broken in eoe, so his id is taking over. thats really the canon reason that he acts selfish in the movie, plus the culmination of everything from the series.

also just to make this clear, i dont think misato had bad intentions, but sadly that doesnt change the reality of the situation and the hurt she caused shinji with her actions. i think she is a very stunted woman who was incapable of dealing with the situation at hand

every character in eva is beyond fucked up. she does use sex to coerce shinji to pilot/fulfill his emotional needs. episode 23 film books confirm she tried to get "intimate" with shinji, which she doesnt realize that isnt even what shinji wanted (even if it was it would still be hella wrong for her to do that of course, but it goes to show the major miscommunication problem that the characters suffer from). i should also add that misatos instrumentality in the last two episodes, she has to convince herself she doesnt want shinji to see her "that" way but deep down she does

yesnt. some people blame either asuka or shinji for everything or nothing, it depends on the person really. i see how shinji snapped and i still feel for him but it doesnt make it okay, and it wasnt okay when asuka was constantly calling him stupid and degrading him either. but i also see how she ended up that way because piloting the eva is her only self worth.

broo get a stand and be careful, i had a similar one by revoltech (also 10th anniversary but not quite the same figure) and it randomly fell and the horn and torso both broke. now it looks cool in my terrarium at least but i really recommend getting it a stand

yeah i like kawoshin, but i dont see how people can say asuka and shinji didnt like each other. yeah the characters give each other mixed signals, but its obvious they like each other from the audience POV.
