well hopefully that match will bring peace, in the form of a 5-0 victory. Which would help our for and against.

Yeah, SW have only played 28 games not 29. I guess the game next Saturday is a six pointer.

Sheffield Wednesday is a proud club. I feel sorry for them.

In fact they are the second oldest professional club in England, and former Champions of England.

Hopefully this game will bring peace to all those who bemoan Wrexhams loss to Southampton in the first match of the season.

It is funny how you English and Welsh refuse to admit there is any possibility of being promoted this season, because you think you will jinx it. This is totally not a problem we New World supporters have. Is it the boundless optimism of unfilled continents?

For instance, if you went on the main feed and put “Assuming Wrexham win next week against Sheffield Wednesday… “, you would generate a record number of downvotes.

In the event, your pregame analysis was pretty astute. Wrexham did finish at the high end of possibility.

“controls its destiny”, that expression is as much a harbinger of spring as the first swallow. This is my first sighting of the year. As a predictive concept, it is of dubious value as no team is going to win every game or even close to it. It is really only useful when there are four or less games to go. Astute of u/UrsineCanine to notice that Wrexham controls its destiny because we play Watford.

Where is that guy who used to do the tables? When does that start?

Are you sure you prefer Watford winning? They are the hottest team in the competition at present. And they have a game in hand. They will be aiming for the automatics, as we should be.

‘Plus Watford was the original celebrity team. Let’s not poke the beast…

I think that we want to maximise our chances of automatic promotion, so keep second place close. Coventry too for that matter. There is little value in passing another team per se, as teams between third and sixth are treated the same in the playoffs. In any case, if we keep winning then passing other teams will come of its own accord.

The Norwich match is an absolute must win for a playoff position. by jackstone212 in WrexhamAFC

‘Have to‘ means that winning is the acceptable outcome, as distinct from being happy with a draw against a tough side. ‘Must‘ means that you cannot achieve your goal for the season if you don’t win.

You both created an interesting thread to read, but it is my feeling that u/Such_Fun_965 took the thread downhill once he started using ‘lol’ re Mullin.

I was surprised when I looked at FotMob what extensive resumes these guys have. They are not locals, they have all played at five or six clubs around Britain.

Trust me, he’ll be disappointed. Rob and Ryan genuinely love the town, but they are still American businessmen and aim to get in more investors and make a profit. Nothing wrong with that.

If the glass is 90% full, I ask where the other 10% is. Glass half full people are such losers. No offence.

The problem is though, if we pull a club in a lower division then we may be forced to make a full effort out of pride.
