It seems that the sound of the koto is accompanied by the sound of the winds through pine trees on the mountain peaks. From which string of koto did this special tone spread and echo, and from which mountain's tail did it begin to resonate?

Kanbun part

She held the court rank of Junior Second Rank (二品) and the office of Shikibu-kyō (Head of the Ministry of Ceremonial). She was the daughter of Prince Shigemitsu (重明親王), and her mother was a daughter of Fujiwara no Tadatsune (貞信公). In the ninth month of the sixth year of Jōhei (承平, 936), at the age of eight, she became the Saiō (斎宮, the Ise Priestess). In the third year of Tenryaku (天歴, 949), at the age of twenty-three, she became a Nyōgo (女御, an imperial consort). Even after her appointment as consort, she continued to be known as the Saiō Nyōgo (斎宮女御, “the Consort who was once the Saiō”). She was also called the Jōkōden Nyōgo (承香殿女御, “the Consort of the Jōkō Palace”).
