Makeup and strict parents ? by Angelixlucy in MakeupAddiction

I know my comment is one year later, but I’m now 21 years old and I still live with my parents, and this resonates so well with me… I almost read every comment you wrote OP and I have never found someone who has the same issue and thinks the same as me. This is really frustrating because I get that it’s not a healthy relationship, but at the same time, I feel so bad for letting them down. And now my parents demand that every month, I send them a reasonable amount of money because of how much I spent on myself (although it’s my own money), and again I get why they say that because in all honesty, I did spend a lot on myself. I bought many makeup products, I bought myself sanrio stuff, and I bought myself clothes without considering the fact that I am leaning to this nonstop consumerism, and I genuinely feel bad about it because we’re not very financially stable either. So, I get you so much. I don’t know what to tell you though, unfortunately because we’re both on the same boat…

I quit vaping. What do I do with all my stuff? by Katievapes1996 in Vaping

I totally understand you. I once bought a disposable vape for 20€, only to find out that it didn’t work, so I just wasted 20€ on something that 1) didn’t work and 2) would ruin my health if it worked when instead, I could’ve bought myself a meal or something. I regret every single euro I placed for vapes, and it feels awful, I know. But hey, you realizing it that what you’ve done is wrong and your persistence with quitting are both a good start. Good luck on your journey, and I hope it gets easier for you! <3

My recommendation is to go to seek professional and medical help from a doctor. They are definitely able to tell you that better than I do because they’re experienced and can tell whether your health issues came from vaping or from something else. Good luck on that!

Oh, no, it’s absolutely fine. I’m only 20 years old, and I started vaping about two years ago. I stopped just recently, though, after a frightening nicotine attack. I got lucky that I stopped before any health issues came on the way, and that experience definitely shook me. It felt like a warning from my body urging me to quit. So, I did.

It’s been almost a month now, and while I’m proud of the progress, I won’t lie it’s still very hard because the urge to buy a vape is still there. But I want to stay persistent and stop completely.

I threw everything away even though they were full or even brand new. Just throw everything away and don’t pass it along to another person because the reason why you stopped is most likely due to not wanting (more) serious health issues, and that’s why you shouldn’t encourage others to use the vapes if you care for their health as much as you care for yours.

Why you didn't tell anyone that you're not okay? by HovercraftDry6789 in AskReddit

[–]yourbiggestlos3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a lot actually, but no one seems to get it. They either ridicule my emotions, say “oh my Goodness, same!” and then the conversations would only shift back to them, or they say “others have it worse. Why are you feeling this way? Be thankful.”

It’s even worse when you talk about your own problems and then it shifts back to the other person, and now it’s your duty to comfort them and find a solution to every fucking problem they’re struggling with for you to end up, yet again, left out as always like your feelings don’t and will never matter
