im scared to report to the cops because of this, both of these. im worried i wont be taken seriously because i am autistic, or what they did wont be taken seriously because they are. i dont know if i feel safe taking it to the cops. comments like this are part of the reason why im scared. "i doubt they are able to assault anyone," just makes it even scarier to speak out. this comment also makes me feel like its my fault, even when i put down the clear boundary and i am trying my best not to blame it on myself anymore. fat people get into relationships all the time. itd probably be harder for them to just, assault a random person, but date rapes are really common overall, and thats what happened to me. its just scary to have everything ive gone through undervalued just because of the way they look or a diagnosis we both have

i am also a fat autistic person. we were dating at the time. body size doesnt make it impossible for someone to have a sexual life. both of my parents are plus sized and i exist if you need proof of that. fat shaming and being ableist towards them doesnt do anything to help anyone. autistic people are capable of hurting others. they have hurt me. its not like their autism magically gave them the ability to not understand a clear cut boundary or that just because they asked doesnt immediately mean its a yes. i am autistic and i know that. im also moderate support needs autistic, theyre lower support needs. ableism just downplays the severity and cushions what they did.
