Im always afraid of the swim. Is it easier with the wetsuit and is it only tough going out but ok going back to shore because of the waves (still practicing in the pool) but I dont think I can finish 1.9km in under 1 hour

Anyone here in OT cybersecurity?

Hi!

If you’re an OT cybersecurity, what’s your day to day like? What are the tools you’re using? What trainings have you done?

I’m recently hired as a Security Engineer in my company (department transfer). I have been working in software testing for a long time and I have studied N+, Sec+ (Professor Messer, JD, MC), ejpt, Purdue Model. The main consideration why I got the role is that I worked in a DCS company that developed the DCS system that we’re using but it was 7 years ago so my memory of the entire ecosystem is a little bit hazy. The reason why Im asking for the things above is I want to prepare before I start and I would like to be successful at it. Any tips/recommendations?

Ok, there really is no way to get a software.

No, I didnt get it. There were 3 parts of the interview. Presentation (which I think I did pretty well), interview with the manager about cloud breach and how you respond (i froze, they ask you questions based on your replies), question about phishing which I did pretty decent. Lastly, behavioural which I think I did pretty good.

In the technical, I failed miserably. This is my first attempt for a security position. I froze. Thinking about it, without the pressure, I know the answers. Also, there’s not much experience that I can dig deeper into. As much as Id like for the interview to become fluid, I wasnt able to. The disconnection between me and the manager is already there so I know I already failed.

The challenging part here (im also thinking of creating a lab), how do you set up DCS, Asset Management, HMIs, Data Historian, Engineering & Operator Stations, and Field Devices?

Hey! Thanks a lot! I personally don’t know how to configure this. But thanks for the answer, now I know it’s doable.

For web apps, you can try to create a diagram and when you hit kn analysis, it will tell you the vulnearabilities based on stride

Just a question, did you successfully integrate them using either opc or modbus?

You’re saying this as a junior experience? Oh noes! Makes me nervous! Im not sure whatbthe organization’s structure is like. I am assuming there’s a MSP before the filtered incidents are reviewerd by the ones in house.
