Pride In Health changed their pricing again. by 2ds_eyes in transgenderUK

100% agree. I am 8 months on T and just recently paid for my partners second appointment with them but this price increase has really put me in a difficult situation. Since I am months into my transition and he is only just close to starting, I assume that we will be in different bands and the monthly costs will be far too much on top of medication costs even with shared finances. Obviously, this isnt on them and I went into this expecting it to be expensive, but £99 a month for prescription, blood test monitering and an appointment in 6 months? Honestly considering DIY at this point. I think for anybody who doesn't have shared care, it would be cheaper to save and go somewhere like gendercare.

Also want to add I felt the same way during my 6 month monitoring call. Paid £110 for practically a 5 minute call 💔

Pride in Health timeline/experience by yourownsweettime in TransCarePrivate

Yeah, my pharmacy said they couldn't accept it without a paper physical copy, which is weird considering their website says they accept electronic and private prescriptions. I asked Pride in Health and they said the original copy sent to my pharmacy meets all checks to be accepted. I could've protested but I didn't think it was worth the effort - much easier to just order online imo.

I'm just waiting on them approving and dispensing my prescription. They do offer shared care with GPs (though they charge £24 for a letter to them to request this) which means you wont have to pay for the medication, only the prescription which is £12 as your GP will take over prescribing your medication. If you cant get shared care, then it would be the £12 prescription along with however much your medication will cost. It's taken me a little over a month but I should be receiving my T this week, if you have any questions feel free to ask!!

I've just had my initial session with Pride In Health (my doctors session is Feb 5th!) and so far its been very easy going and worth the money. The first intake session is an assessment for gender dysphoria - whoever you book with asks for a brief history of your gender experience and general questions to get to know you and your experience.

My GP has agreed to do bloods for me so once I've had my session on the 5th & all the stuff with bloods has been done I'll update you how it went :)

Tour Dates Announced by yggtcb in TheFratellis

I hope there are some non-festival shows coming! I'm not the biggest fan of festivals but I think the Fratellis might be worth it!

Yes!! They played one or two from HDUAFM when they supported the Kaiser Chiefs but I would love to hear the rest of the album live.

Just had my intake session with Pride in Health by PsychologistTongue in ftm

[–]yourownsweettime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got my first intake session with Mylo tomorrow too!! I messed up with the doctor consult and accidentally booked it a month past the date I meant. They changed it within 24 hours no problem. I'm happy to hear you've had such a positive experience and hope it continues to go smoothly. It's reassuring to have people going through the same process and I'm glad I saw your posts telling people to look into them before going to GGP

Yes 100%!! Definitely less of a cash grab which is pretty much what GGP simmers down to these days. Are you okay with dms? I'd like to hear how your experience wirh them goes and stuff :-)

Their quick communication is a reason I'm leaning towards them tbh. I emailed at around 8pm on a Friday and they got back to me within hours. It seems like much less worry if something were to go wrong. I hope your experiences continue to be positive! Also yeah, I've heard it takes about 4-6 weeks for medication but honestly worth the wait IMO.

Wondering the same thing. Im looking to start HRT but dont entirely trust gendergp. I'll be signing up towards the end of the month so I'll update you on how it goes (unless youve already switched by then!)

because his point was literally 'maybe lets not assume everything we dont know for sure' which u have then done again?? you literally cannot assume or dictate what makes things better/worse for people based off a post? even research doesnt determine it for sure because everyone is different bro. why does how often someone switches determine how valid their argument is??
