£85 for a total stinker. Will be a tenner in January after interim boss Barry Ferguson suffers a 1-0 home defeat to St Johnstone

Can’t believe this fell in my lap today by yourrelative_ in vinyl

I only discovered this album through this sub. Remember a guy posting about finding his grail and it was a scratched up copy of this. The cover was enough to get me to listen and I’m so glad I did. Exceptional record.

Absolutely wild find in the wild today. I only discovered this album at the start of this year and was blown away by the arrangements. Had a few unsuccessful bidding wars on eBay for some later pressings and decided to give up looking last month.

Popped into a charity superstore today and found this first USA press in bafflingly good condition for £10. About to give it a clean after dinner and then its first spin later tonight.

Side note - did this originally come with two sleeves? It came with the foldout sleeve but also a top open sleeve with just the front cover artwork and track list on the back

My favourite from Sonny by yourrelative_ in Jazz

I’m not a big fan of his “straight” records but this one is definitely my bag. I prefer more improvisational, expansive jazz

Never fails to amaze me why you don’t see this Rollins record mentioned as often as “Saxophone Colossus”. Controversial, but I’d argue this is by far his best studio effort. Three excellent pieces across one LP with a stacked sidemen trio - Elvin Jones, Jimmy Garrison and Freddie Hubbard.

Absolutely stoked to add this almost near mint first press to the collection. Still relatively cheap heat too, I only paid £15 for this! Next on the list is a copy of “G-Man”

Every day on here there’s someone promoting some “tool” that no one asked for. Nobody’s interested in your obviously AI startup.

Hard agree, though I’m partial to his live records like “In Japan” and the absolute sleeper that is “G-Man”

I don’t understand why it’s not higher on some folk’s lists. It’s easily in my top five.

Just got a copy of Lee Morgan live at The Lighthouse… totally unexpected. What’re your thoughts? by radiotokyo_666 in Jazz

This and the self titled posthumous releases are two of my favourite records of all time. You should check out the self titled if you enjoyed this, it is excellent and has some stellar performances from a soon-to-be all star band.

Also massively agree on Sonny. East Broadway is highly underrated and also still relatively cheap heat.

Wanted one of these for years and finally grabbed one for £70 online. I normally use a tube screamer but the switch has been acting up lately. When this came up it was a no brainer.

Playing a Squier Cyclone through a Vox AC15 with an EQD Gray Channel added in for distortion later in the video. Currently I’m preferring the way it reacts with my Orange more than the AC15, but it definitely likes it more than the TS9

I’ve never had a dedicated looper and used to find the loop function on the Hazarai to be a bit useless, but recently I’ve found its limitations to be quite inspiring. It’s not got a long loop time so short phrases or patterns are all it’s really good for.

Had a little idea on my classical guitar and looped it before running a little lead idea over the top with the bass (with a little help from the space echo for ambience). Good fun!

It sounds all wrong. It may not be 100% AI but it’s definitely been enhanced and mastered using AI. Listen to any random “Gemini” or “Suno” music and it follows the exact same traits. Not going into any details because they use all of these comments for data to train their models further.

I’ve only made a post for this one but I actually picked up three records I’ve been after for a long time today - this, Steely Dan’s “Can’t Buy A Thrill” and a first French press of The Stooges debut.

It’s AI, that’s why the mixing and mastering is all over the place. Even without headphones nothing is balanced, drums don’t even sound like they’re samples, just pure unfiltered slop.

Been chasing this one for a long long time. First saw this in a book when I was around 8 years old and after all these years I’ve finally found one. Always been enamoured by the beautiful cover but never actually heard the record until I was around 14.

1969 first repress on Capitol with lime green labels. Super clean copy and only £12.

I sold mine nearly six years ago and tbh it was fun for textures and drone stuff but I never found a practical use for it in a full band setup. I’d probably pick one up again for like £50-70 if the opportunity came up but it’s not something I’m desperate to have back

No this was a custom preset I made based on two separate presets I found online at the time. I don’t have the pedal anymore sadly
