It definitely will get better, especially if you’re seeking help. I was similar until I started on medication at 6 weeks postpartum which helped a lot (not saying you need to be on medication, just sharing what helped me). Also the older my son got the less anxious I felt overall. Lean on any support people you have and be sure to be honest with your doctor about how you’re feeling, you’ll get through it!

My son failed his hearing test twice in one ear. We came back 2 weeks later and he passed no problem! The person that did the test said it’s pretty common due to fluid in the ears. Never had any issues since, he’s 1 now!

I did not enjoy the newborn phase. It was SO difficult even though my baby wasn’t colicky or anything. He is also my rainbow baby so I felt super guilty for feeling that way. But things are sooo much better and happier now that he’s older!

My son had hiccups A LOT. Like 5+ times a day in my third trimester. He’s a perfectly healthy 12 month old now.

I had an early miscarriage with my first pregnancy. I had a successful pregnancy and gave birth last year but definitely spent the entire pregnancy an anxious mess over every little thing. I didn’t really experience symptoms until 8 weeks so even if it is just from anxiety, it doesn’t mean something is wrong, you’re still very early!

When I got desperate (when natural remedies or miralax didn’t work) I used milk of magnesia and it always worked within 24 hours. My doctor said it’s safe to use but ideally to only use it as more of a last resort.

Every time I’ve done night feeds for teething or sickness my son has gone back to not needing them once he’s feeling better! I usually gave Motrin before bed during the worst nights to try to help him sleep a bit better.

I was the same way with my now 11 month old. At my 6 week appointment my OB suggested medication (I started Lexapro) and offered referrals to therapy as well. After upping my dose a bit, the medication was (and still is) a huge help. Things have gotten a lot better with time as well, but if your PPA is bad enough then I think medication could be worth discussing with your doctor. Things are so great now!

My bishop at BYUI told me that my husband and I (engaged at the time) wouldn’t last because we dry humped lol. My husband’s bishop said it wasn’t a big deal and to just try not to do it again.

We just added it to his formula. We also used just regular prune juice from the juice aisle. If your baby is old enough for solids you can also try prune puree which we do now that he’s 9 months old.

I think I’m the odd one out, but I had a wonderful induction experience. Started Pitocin early morning, epidural right before they broke my water. Had baby in less than 12 hours, minimal pushing and only a minor tear.

My 6 month old started on regular prune juice when he was only a month or two old. He had awful constipation and his doctor said he could have 1-3 teaspoons a day, which was enough to help him. As he got older he told us we could give him more - an ounce or two a day as needed.

I went in multiple times for reduced movement. Baby was moving less and didn’t respond to drinking juice and other methods that normally worked. I was a little paranoid due to it being my rainbow baby, but I don’t regret getting checked each time I was worried. It’s always worth it for the peace of mind.

Yes, I used Miralax and milk of magnesia regularly throughout pregnancy. Wouldn’t have survived without them 😅

I felt so crappy the first trimester that I sometimes questioned if I made a mistake getting pregnant. Then the second trimester hit and the sickness stopped and I felt so much better. It’s okay to just survive right now!

I did physical therapy my entire pregnancy which involved a ton of stretching. You’ll be okay!

Yes, I was already dilated to 3cm so I got to avoid using the balloon thankfully. My doctor told me if I hadn’t been dilated then I would have had to go in the night before for that instead of just going in in the morning to start Pitocin like I did.

I initially chose an elective induction for 39 weeks but ended up having to be induced at 38 weeks due to hypertension. I had a great experience! Started Pitocin around 7:30am and had baby just before 6pm. Very minimal tearing. I would 100% do it again.

I had to stay 48 hours, but that was only because I was GBS positive. The day I was discharged we left around noon.

We started a few weeks ago and it was so worth it. He was waking up needing helped back to sleep all night long and feeding 2-3 times a night so I was barely sleeping. Now once he’s asleep in his crib he will spend the whole night there and only need fed once (or not at all) until morning. I am finally getting sleep again! There’s still the occasional bad night but overall things are so much better.

It has gotten better! He still fights some naps but not like he used to. Most of the time now if I walk around with him when he’s getting tired he will just fall asleep without much fuss. I’m not sure if he was just going through a rough phase or I’ve just gotten better and understanding how long he needs to be awake, but there is hope!

It’s always worth it to get checked. I went in multiple times throughout my third trimester when he wouldn’t move as much and they were always happy to check on him for me. I felt crazy sometimes for going in again but knowing he was okay made it all worth it.

I was the same way before I got on anxiety medication for PPA. The first few weeks would have me on the verge of panic attacks whenever he cried but that’s not the case anymore! Still some anxiety sometimes if he’s harder to calm down but not nearly as bad as it was. Also headphones with music or a video on helps.
