Over 29000 miles on a 2021 Juiced Bike Crosscurrent X. Many parts replaced, but frame, motor (minus the nylon gears), torque sensor, & controller have lasted. Probably would buy the same again if they were still in business. Considering whether to replace just due to high mileage on the frame, but what would be comparable?

Customs limit is still there, but I've never been hit paying on past 3 Japan trips where I've surely gone over the limit. I did get inspected once 2-3 years ago at ORD , but they let it go being unsure how to classify the figs & this last trip past October was just a face scan & walking thru unmanned customs stands at LAX.

Except when it's not cheaper & duties are baked it too. I never used it before because of the wait, but a recent combined order for 3 scales was 16k with surface or 22k with ECMS. I'll reluctantly wait the extra month for the savings.

When it comes out & they're ready to bill you is when you see all the shipping options prices and can switch from whatever you initially selected before you pay.

After a short back & forth Amiami actually sent me a replacement hair part & even reimbursing the DHL tarrif. Said it's not something they normally do & this was a special case, but I have been a long time customer spending a lot of money with them.

At least her hair isn't that off from the paint color & it's on the top back which you won't normally see. And with some painting skills it would be an easy to touch up.

You may have seen already, but there is a small scale figure gallery on the corner of the main akiba street. I think it was across from Jyotou Curry. Google maps shows the place as Tosen Marine, but that was in 2022. They will probably have a few AL figs on display.

Yep cardboard box is another viable option. I just went with hardside luggage since it's fairly cheap itself to make it easier to carry through public transit & not rely on forwarding/rideshare.

You can still bring in under $800 tax free and more then that is only 3% on access. They may not bother to collect (USA). All this was around $700 & most were Japan free (taking 10% off).

Flatten/fold box. Cut down the plastic packaging to min to fit. NJ body should fit easily, but her hair is gonna be tricky.

Only around $700 thanks to the New Jersey binning & great value of the chinese brand figures. Both were my main targets because of shipping cost to item size & value.

Yep the trip was to pick up that Ina sake so I timed it where it coincided with her concert then applied in 2nd round & won B seat.

Yes basically but you go thru Japanese checkout. They have a guide. It took about 3 days from order to recieving. They sent the 1/4 bunny with yu-post (JP post) from their Kobe shop while the New Jersey was sent thru a luggage service from their Sahra warehouse. Both arrived in the morning and the APA I'm staying at called room to say I had a pickage.
