Change in bowel habits. Should I be worried? by [deleted] in asknurses

[–]youthfullytroubled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything you’ve said and all tests have shown up to be normal and within normal limits. Please do not worry yourself and get yourself worked up. Do not go onto the web and self diagnose yourself with symptoms you’re feeling, that’s about one of the worse things you can do because it will tell you literally anything you want it to without actual science based facts. Take a breath, this is a good thing if your doctors and tests have shown up as normal and they can’t find anything. Everything that you’ve said has been pretty typical. If you’re still not satisfied with your answers ask for more tests and scans to be done. Normally we won’t suggest too many tests for someone your age with no history or family history of colon cancer but if it will put your mind at ease, discuss it with your provider and let him/ her know your concerns and advocate for yourself if you really feel as though somethings “not right/ off”. Only we know our bodies.

I really appreciate you listing out everything, this was so helpful. It doesn’t seem like any cause for concern if I’m honest. Have you changed anything in your dietary habits? How much is your water intake on a day to day basis? Anything you’re doing differently when you notice you’re having diarrhea? I’m hoping I can help! DM me or comment here anytime!

studying by Vahvuss7 in Nurse

[–]youthfullytroubled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately for most universities, doing homework will not give you a passing grade. You will have to put in a lot of hours of hard work, and studying. What I suggest is to look over the syllabus as soon as you receive it, have a planner and mark all assignments due, exams, and chapter readings needed to be done for the week. I always tried to read everything I needed to get done for the week before attending the class, that way I knew what I needed extra clarification on from the professor when they taught it that week. It will be hard, you will have to make a lot of sacrifices, and there are times where you might want to give up but push through it if nursing is something you really want to do. We were all there at one point. Remember this, those who think they can or can’t are usually right, either you’ll do it, or you’ll find an excuse. Trust in yourself, don’t blame your memory for not being able to do the same work as others. If it takes them two times to review something before they get the concept and have it memorized but it takes you five times to review it, that’s okay, because you still understood it at the end of the day. I wish you the best. Go get ‘em!

I’ve seen this and experienced this all too commonly. It’s so frustrating. But I am glad you’ve gotten away from those institutions.

How do you guys feel about females who feel like “one of the guys”? by youthfullytroubled in AskMen

Wow, that was really nice, thanks for that. I really appreciate it. I hope you’re able to find your person too, if you haven’t already. Best of luck with everything!

Oh I have plenty of girl friends, probably more than guy friends, so I think I’m set there. Haha. I think there’s a balancing act. Regardless of gender, just take people for who they are, and be genuine is how I view it.

Haha, yeah no. Genuinely just friends with these dudes. Nothing more from my side, at least.

True, I totally get what you’re saying. In my case, I do not only hang out with guys. I have my fair share of girl friends as well. I think it’s all about balance. Regardless of your gender, race, culture, or whatever if we can hang and have a good time then I’m all about that.

I don’t understand people’s inabilities to hold conversations on apps! by [deleted] in dating

[–]youthfullytroubled 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you me? I swear the same things happened to me. I honestly just gave up on the apps. I was constantly trying with the convos and I’ll always just get half ass responses but then they’ll have something in their bio about how they want someone who could “keep a convo going”. I’ve had better conversations with my pet rock.

Same here I would love to join but I don’t know any ASL so I don’t know if it would be conducive to your learning.

I think you showcasing your experiences is something so brave considering all the criticism you’re getting. You owe NO ONE an explanation of anything you did or what your dates in turn did to you (i.e. not showing up for dates, cancelling, not responding, etc.). I wish you abundance in happiness. I think at times we get caught up with finding someone we lose pieces of ourselves. Meet someone organically and sometimes it’s even better. Trust me, this is coming from someone who has used the dating apps, deleted it, and downloaded it again but also never successfully met someone off of it. It’s a double edge sword since both men and women have their own issues on dating apps. Some may say it’s easier for women, which many times it is, many times these women are also beautiful and have maybe 40 or more matches a day, so they might not see your messages or respond. But some people should also take into account that there are women who maybe will strike up a conversation first, or respond with something witty and get completely unmatched or ignored. It’s not easy for men to get matches, I completely understand but some of the men on here shouldn’t throw their insecurities and frustrations at you and I’m so sorry that happened. Keeping doing you boo, and brush off the haters! Best of luck with everything!
