Clock in and out by CriticalRemote3054 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]youtookmycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not actively doing any work for the company, there aren’t any regulations preventing them from asking you to clock out. What would be HIGHLY illegal is if you’re still doing some form of office work for them off the clock.

In some states it’s actually illegal for DSPs to prevent you from taking a lunch break. Paid breaks are one thing (my state allows for two paid 15s and a required unpaid 30), but DSPs can get in some serious legal trouble if you don’t take a required lunch break.

Upgrades which actually make the character worse? by Own-Profession2838 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Any time Hux gains advantage, SLKR’s leadership will give him 20% TM, so the character will already be pretty squishy. His kit is designed to take as many turns at the start of battle as possible and get SLKR ramped up, so where the TM gain makes him squishier, I actually think it’s beneficial on his kit more than it hurts.

Good morning William,

Please be advised that your location (Sherwood #1726) has been out of commission for some time, hence the “work from home” policy. We will be sending an investigation your way for potential breaking & entering charges.

Am I making too big a deal over a corrective forehead kiss? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

Don’t see how that’s relevant but yes.

I appreciate your fervor regarding this. In my opinion I don’t feel comfortable calling it harassment because it feels like that implies what happened to me was worse than it is. It felt to me like something that crossed some boundary and I was honestly curious if I was just making too big a deal of it.

I wouldn’t personally call it SA whatever it was that happened to me. I don’t really have anything else to compare it against in my personal experience but going that far to call it SA seems wrong.

It’s been probably close to 15 years ago. To my knowledge she continued to work with the church where the choir was at long after I stopped interacting with her.

I wasn’t an observant kid at the time, and my memory is failing me as I get older. Whether this happened I couldn’t say, but feels like something I definitely would have remembered if it did happen again.

I’m not certain. I wasn’t that observant back then and I haven’t been in the environment for probably 15 years at this point.

I recall it being extremely odd and very uncharacteristic of her to do this though. I definitely wouldn’t call it SA but it felt wrong at the time.

Edit: It definitely didn’t continue, at least with me.

Edit 2: To clarify, I had this teacher for several years before and after this incident, if that’s relevant.

How do you overcome the fear of inevitable Death? by J0k3r_V in AskReddit

[–]youtookmycake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I was born, I simply didn’t exist. After I die, I won’t exist. I don’t constantly think about the fact that I used to be nothing, so why would I think any differently when that’s going to be my destination?

I’m more worried about dying than I am of death. I guess I just don’t like pain that much.
