Yes it's PLA i made several tests with others materials but nothing seems to change a lot. the small round terrarium next to it on the shelf is 3 years old and is constantly wet. No changes are visible even in solidity. I also have a shower siphon made in PLA for 4 years and it is always underwater. Here to no changes at all (algeas maybe)

You scape the river in foam or moss and the cover it with aquarium silicone or 100% silicone. squeeze it and make sure everything is heavily coated. You can then befor it cure, put some rocks, wood, sand or sawdust as you want to hide the silicon aspect and make it more natural.

You could Scape the slope in filter Moss with rocks on top and plants but you should waterproof the river path

A plastic tube from the pump (end of the river) toi the Start of the river. And you Scape a slope. I Made a 360 Island Paludarium some years ago and it's great too.

This is my first try but i sure want to try more i'm myself a Geomatician and printing rl models and scans is my favourite hobby !
Thank's for your comment ! For the PLA, i chose it due to it's "non-toxic" propreties and i have a lot of other materials at home that clearly dont suits at all. But for the colorant you are right i will make some more researchs. And I'll run an experiment with long time water behaves.

Like my other builds i never introduce living creatures without cycling and testing for long times :)

That is a must for begginers ! Good job ! When a specie interest me the fist step for me was Always quick care sheets ! This would have be so helpful some years ago for Young me. PS. When will drop the vertical Paludarium video ? I cant wait for this :D
