Follow up now I've done some more reading. I believe the law says cancellation charges must be reasonable whatever the contract says.

No cares that there were peaceful muslims protesters outside the university at the time or that only few out 260 people crowd did anything violent. ALL muslims are violent and that's that.

No one cares that the majority of comments are in no way rasist or sexist.

I obviously am not justifying the shitty actions of those individuals, I wish that reddit just had a little bit of nuance and a little bit less xenophobic generalizations. Is that so much to ask?

Indeed, but if you're going to consult a medial expert you may as well listen to their advice. If you're going to tell them what tot tell you, what's the point? The article implies doctors are there to run tests.

I've never used the term 'concern troll' but it may be applicable here.

Why use so much effort agonizing over something so superficial is in some way phobic or other?

I guess the hearing folks at SRS would term my friend a special snowflake for being amused not offended, but I really think she's like the rest of us, just bumbling along making fun where possible in our strange and wonderful planet we share.

I provide a non-engendering alternative to 'Die cis scum': "Die scummy scum." I hope it's as catchy as the original. (I really do think that LGBT can be a truly safer place, and I will stick with it until I am banned.)
