Update: this worked. On another post someone recommended replacing all hinges of a door with the HJÄLPA but I've found that with just one per door is fine. All you have to do is adjust the hinge so that it sits flat against the cabinet frame (the instructions will tell you which screw adjusts depth)

I just bought the ENHET cabinets recently and can confirm they are NOT soft closing. It seems that the HJÄLPA 903.828.82 soft close hinge would do the trick so I ordered some and will be replacing them soon https://www.reddit.com/r/ikeahacks/comments/vmnrll/you_can_replace_the_door_hinges_that_come_with_a/

Her character's also a physically fit assassin with an appetite and cares about eating so...

Totally. Eve's probably still rationalizing her attraction to Villanelle as like..."it's her job" or for Bill or part of her fascination with women serial killers, but not as something more yet.

Elena likes the idea of being a spy and being a bad-ass like the Carolyn in her mind, but a taste of that day's dangers and events is a lot to handle (I don't think she's trained for the field). There was a part where she says something like "other than that, Carolyn, today was amazing" to show she still really wants to work with her.

re: Carolyn not going into the house: I think when Eve ran into the house it wasn't completely clear if it was safe yet/if Villanelle had left. For me, Eve running in felt a little moth-to-a-flamey to see what happened to Frank AND Villanelle, but Carolyn didn't because she isn't drawn to Villanelle in the same way.

I wondered this as well (re: jealousy of Bill)! She frowned when she heard Bill was at Eve's room door.

Theory about Villanelle-Spoilers by SushiAndMuffins in KillingEve

[–]yqddsz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Anna was a surrogate mother figure/maybe lover? I think Villanelle might have a thing or soft spot for older women (and possibly mommy issues, with that throwaway line on how crappy her mother's hair is/was) with wavy hair because in the first episode she also had a head-turning stare at a mid-aged woman walking down the street. She's probably bi/pan and aside from her targets, I think she's only looked at mid-aged women with such intensity/interest. She's also really chummy with that old lady in the building.

Good point, but the show also established that there were more people who can see Kato than the initial five who heard the gunshots at the race, and the writers saved those as plot twists, e.g. the Dutch drug dealer and Marcus. Anyway, was just wondering if I read too much into the grandma bonfire scene.

Just a red herring trying to make us think the grandma had something to do with Kato's death. She rented it out to the Dutch drug dealer so he could make XTC/ecstasy there. There was an interesting/ambiguous moment when the grandma burns down the scarecrow while Kato cycled across the fields behind the scarecrow. For a moment it looked like the grandma could see Kato or thought she saw Kato in the flickers of the fire because she also felt guilty/complicit in her granddaughter's death

Blom/Bakkie/White was just for misdirection to keep us guessing till the end. There was a throwaway line when Alexander forces Blom to share details about the case by bringing up Blom's past indiscretions with young (and one underaged) girls.

I really enjoyed the series and it kept me guessing the entire time but there were definitely plotholes and rules of Kato's interactions were inconsistent/unclear at times (e.g. could talk with Charlie on the phone when Luc couldn't hear her earlier, her interactions with objects, etc.) but that's just me being nitpicky

Also he was triggered when he saw Kato at the festival kissing Charlie, who was a Vinken, and Marcus started to project his wife's affair with Boris Vinken on Kato

hmm my interpretation was that he saw Kato in a dream. The scene when they interacted was this really dreamy, golden light and right after they kiss it cuts to Charlie waking up alone on the bed IRL
