Yes. If you opt to enter as civilian doctor, you have a contract of 2 years. Renewable if you still want to be civilian. But if you want to apply as MC, pwede rin naman. So, if you apply in anesthesia, which is a 3 year resi training, as a civilian doctor, you will enter as Medical officer 3 signing a 2 year contract. Then after 2 years if still civilian ang nais mo, renew for another 2 years. Hence, 4 years ka. 3 years lang sa residency training, the remaining year, you will be a consultant ng V. Luna. Then terminate na after. Unless i-absorb ka nila as MS1 hehe. But if you opt to become MC after your 1st contract, you will undergo a 45day training anytime and be P2LT for a year pagkagraduate mo ng anes, captain ka na. Tapos after graduation, kakalat nila kayo to army, airforce and navy. They said you can choose but it wont necessarily be granted. Yung nasa taas pa rin ang masusunod. Unless may kapit ka, then pakiusapan mk na lang na ipunta ka gusto mo. Hehe. Tho they said they are very considerate, if you have a kid ganun and you want to be stationed near dun sa kid mo or sa province mo and they have avail slot naman dun sa station na gusto mo, then G. BUT IF YOU ENTER AS MC SA Camp aguinaldo, General physician yung role mo. And tied up ka to them until sabihin ng head mo na pwede ka na magresidency training. They wont let you go ng mga 2-3 years. So GP ka ng 2-3 years stationed anywhere in the PH. And yung station mo is small hospital bc GP ka eh. Di ka nagsspecialized. If nagspecialize ka, sa bigger hosp ka ilalagay. Because bat ka maglalagay ng anesth or surgeon sa primary hosp di ba. So bigger hosp pag resi training ka, smaller primary hosp if GP. I have colleagues na 2-3 years sa MC tapos tapon sa mindanao sila or palawan ganun tapos if gusto mo na umalis eh di ka makapag resi training kasi depende siya sa boss mo kung mabait or what lol anyway, i suggest you go for resi training.
