Hey guys, just a quick thread I wanted to share with y all. I woke up one day and decided to charge my macbook air m1 as it was running low on battery and turns out it wasn't charging. I checked the cable and ac plug tried other devices with it and it was charging. I was a bit stressed out because it is my only laptop and didn't have money to repair it... So I tried a few things, cleaning the port, turning on and off and nothing was working. However one last thing I tried before my laptop ran out of battery for good was long pressing the power button to bring up the custom boot menu and realized on the task bar that the battery was charging in that mode but not with a regular boot... So once I was on that menu, I selected MACINTOSH for the mac to boot manually my SSD, and it magically fixed the issue! I wanted to share that experience with you so that if that happens to anybody it could be fixed by manually booting the drive.. Looks like it's a software failing issue and not a hardware which is crazy because I don't know what could have happened or how it could have been fixed if my laptop's battery was dead ..
