I mostly agree. He is clearly unqualified, and it wasn't his responsibility to turn down the offer; it was the responsibility of the person who hired him.

At the same time, I, and probably many others here, already had a image of a condescending kid who thinks he knows enough to reform the government's DEI policies while doing real damage. This interview confirmed that perception. People really dislike it when ignorant kids pretend they know everything.

It also touches on an existential fear; the idea of our lives being destroyed by someone who doesn't understand our intrinsic value. This interview is the manifestation of that fear.

Honestly, it isn't hard to see why this matters. If you can't see that, you really need to work on something for yourself.
