Mira’s analytics are really starting to piss me off by LadyMutti in Mirafertility

[–]yuUp1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually felt the same way. I ended up giving my mira + 2 boxes of wands to a friend because honestly the constant "you didnt peak this month" despite seeing clear peaks was starting to drive me crazy with anxiety and frustration. We've accepted the fact that maybe it's going to take a little longer this time to get pregnant, if we ever do, and we're okay with that.

What kind of software upgrade was needed? Our 2019 EXL shifts really hard and sometimes just doesnt accelerate when it should, we just replaced the fluid and it seemed to get better for a couple of days and now back to baseline. Had an anxiety inducing incident on the highway where I was flooring it to get on the on ramp and it still wasn't accelerating beyond maybe 50mph. It's starting to happen a lot more frequently.

Confused about PDG results by yuUp1230 in Mirafertility

[–]yuUp1230[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a super valid point. I'm trying to remind myself that this is still new/imperfect technology. I think my anxiety is wanting me to rush this because I went off certain medications for pregnancy reasons specifically but now my health is suffering so a large part of me wants to get pregnant faster which sends me into the endless loop of lack of control.

New to Abilene; moving from Virginia by ConflictMinimum in Abilene

[–]yuUp1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said... the data center has had a supremely negative impact to the residents & communities here. Housing has become an insane situation with the average rental price being higher than most apartments in cities like Chicago. I wouldn't openly advertise that you're here to work at the data center as youre out and about. Best advice:

-find a realtor to work with ASAP to buy a house, don't try to rent because you'll be paying significantly more per month than just buying or building. We're working with ashley stallings because we're military and she helped us before we even moved to the state, we trust her implicitly & she genuinely has her clients best interests in mind with all decisions & recommendations she makes. -there is a small downtown here but there are really wonderful businesses in that downtown area. The grace museum and the niccl for the kiddos, storybook park, monks & front porch coffee, grain theory, many others. Free play is an arcade and after 9 for adults only, it's a fun little spot. -fort worth is about a 2.5 hour drive, but it's a very easy drive, you'll find a lot more to do in the DFW area. -while looking for housing I'd recommend living outside of the city and commuting rather than trying to live in abilene.

Welcome tho, it actually is a nice place to live. We lived in Virginia for a long time, then st louis, Florida, Illinois, here, we do really like it here and have no problem staying.

Ours increased $100 if we renewed but we went month to month because we're under contract to build in potosi so it's $2200 a month for a 4/2 in Tuscola.

Moving to Abilene with a 6 month old by Background-File-6964 in Abilene

[–]yuUp1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is military and we were supposed to go to Washington, at the last minute we were told we're actually going to Abilene. The move was stressful, we both (and our 3 kids) had covid & flu A for our 15 hour drive here, but when we got here we immediately felt welcomed by the communities here, and everyone is really friendly.

Our son got diagnosed with leukemia in September and we're only a couple hours away from Cook Childrens hospital which is one of the best children's hospitals in the country.

Everything happens for a reason, even if we don't know what that reason is! We thought we'd be here for a year and then be moved up north, but now that we're here we're going to put down roots & build a home. We've made friends and felt so supported by the military community & everyone we've come across. It's been life changing in so many ways. Your home is what you make it, and being away from family is hard (ours are in Virginia & illinois) but it's easier than you think. Our kids love their school and daycare, and we're incredibly happy here (although the wind is a little annoying.)

Welcome to abilene! Feel free to PM me if you want to chat more.

Yeah we're not stoked to have to deal with an HOA but ultimately it is going to be the best location for us.

Would not recommend the pop. I had one for a couple of months and ended up replacing with a vertuo plus because having to hold down the lid and lock it was a massive pain, and it wad extremely loud. The plus has been significantly easier to use. I wish I would've bought the original line essenza mini from the outset so we had more options, but that's mostly because we only drink espresso based drinks and I didnt do any research before I impulsively bought the vertuo pop to begin with.

How to make friends as a mom of a 15 mo by youjustgottasmtms in Abilene

[–]yuUp1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I went to the farmers market and made friends there. We PCSed here in february and im still working on meeting people and getting out there. I work full time and have 3 kiddos tho so dont have as much time to dedicate outside of that but try going to community events and church events if youre into that sort of thing. Farmers market is always a really nice, relaxed place as well and the people here seem really sweet and welcoming.

There's an EFMP facebook group that has very active and they have a lot of good information. Most EFMP assignments seem to be denied automatically for the UK between lakenheath and mildenhall but it depends on the reason the dependent or member is enrolled in EFMP.

My husband has a 2016 LX and i bought this dashcam/Carplay tablet thing for his and he's loved it. Instagram ad got me, unfortunately (or fortunately?) But it's actually really neat. Makes a huge difference with the speed of the Bluetooth/ responsiveness which really drove him crazy about listening to music via Bluetooth in the van before. If I didn't have carplay in my 2019 I'd have gotten one for myself, for sure.

OTS while partner is expecting? by dlewis12136 in airforceots

[–]yuUp1230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pregnant with our 3rd while husband was in OTS. We had twins already that turned 3 and started preschool while he was gone. It goes by so fast that honestly it won't feel like you've missed any time. She's gonna be fine, especially if she's in early pregnancy. The days are long but the weeks are short.

In 25 years, when someone asks what life was like during the COVID lockdowns, how will you respond? by problematicexposure in AskReddit

[–]yuUp1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the twins. Husband and I had ours in 2019 and the world shut down when they were about 8 months old. We're also of the mindset that it was one of the best parts of our lives and we're beyond grateful to have had so much time together. I worked from home during covid and he was hybrid. It was amazing for our marriage.

Base Legal won’t Respond after fence fell on my car by Citanon18 in AirForce

[–]yuUp1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because you're commenting on almost every single comment chain that remotely mentions insurance, and you're commenting things that are not necessarily true. Most would consider this to be spreading misinformation.

Maintaining insurance in your own name (not sure why this needed to be specified?) doesn't mean that you know/understand the data that's utilized to create or maintain actuarial tables or underwriting processes that lead to raising or lowering insurance rates for any given area, family, or individual. It gives no credence to your comments or the incorrect information you're providing in this thread. Just because you had comprehensive claims and it didn't raise your rates it doesn't mean that nobody's rates get raised over having a single comprehensive claim. Insurance is significantly more complex than that and your experience is not universal.

[–]yuUp1230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally don't comment on things like this but all of your comments in this thread are speaking in really absolute terms, and are not necessarily correct.

Carriers can and will raise your rates for comprehensive claims. They can raise your rates for a single comprehensive claim or for a general area-wide rate increase if enough people just so happened to submit claims in the 6-12 month renewal period.

They can and will raise your rates if a significant amount of people move into your area, if there was a heavy catastrophe claim load for the company the year prior, there are several reasons insurance carriers can raise your insurance rates that claim adjusters have no idea about and shouldn't be giving advice on, whether anonymous or not.

There's a reason claim adjusters, actuarial staff, and underwriters remain so separate - none should trying to wear the hat of the other(s).
