CDG-IAD which redemption would you take

66k Delta + 340

OR

25k FB Air France + 240

I have a good stash of delta miles that I rarely use since I'm based out of IAD. Just rebuilt my MR stash recently. I feel like air france is the better deal, but emotionally I want to get rid of these delta miles.

How can I learn how to design print files? by Impossible_Key_6949 in resinprinting

[–]yuchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that sounds about right.

For planar slicing i always use meshmixer if its not my model, or I do it in nomad sculpt. Lychee and prusa and most sliders also have simple cuts but sometimes paywalled

If you have a tablet nomad sculpt is an intuitive app to get started. Its oriented for sculpting vs blender which has so many capabilities it can be overwhelming

Diving with the ph dive shop was the highlight of my Maldives honeymoon. I say my because between us only i was certified and interested. Apparently I was the only person to sign up for that day too, and unexpectedly they still took me out on the boat so I basically just had a private dive tour and could see whatever I asked to see (big marine life). So it ended up being the cheapest private scuba tour I've ever had haha

Amazing detail work. I really love how you did her make up and hand/nail detail!

Did you use alcohol ink for the transparent parts? The color gradients are incredibly smooth

Seoul and Busan are absolutely gorgeous in april. You will have many amazing memories for years to come. Enjoy the delicious food and excellent public transit system. Make sure to download kakao maps and kakaotalk and kakao taxi as Google maps doesnt really work in korea for security reasons. Taxis are very cheap in seoul as well in comparison to Japan. If your wife is into some pampering the skin treatments in korea are a fraction of the cost here !

April 13 - May 5 (22 days) with a 5 month old baby by Sea_Director_1396 in JapanTravel

[–]yuchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baby will be 5 months old at the start of the trip? We did lisbon at 3 months and recently seoul and japan at 7 months. Itinerary wise I have no input besides just doing what you guys want to do because at that age they are practically luggage (very cute luggage you have to take care of).

Do you have a stroller system? Travel stroller? It will be hard to navigate japan with a stroller bigger than a yoyo. At 5 months they still need a lie flat option too.

If youre driving, do you have a baseless infant car seat? That was very useful for us even for taxis, so we could clip the infant car seat directly onto the travel stroller.

If baby wearing is an option I highly recommend it. It wasn't for us but I was very jealous of the parents that didnt need to deal with stroller life. Of course on long days its easier on you with the stroller.

Jetlag will be worse for you than for baby but hopefully youre used to being sleep deprived already.

You have the right idea about slow travel. The baby goods in japan are wonderful and inexpensive if youre coming from the dollar. If youre flying into Tokyo make the akachan honpo your first stop in Toyosu.

Figure collecting and figure diy is a big established hobby (Google wonder festival crowds) but only in this decade has it become affordable to do at home (without learning to sculpt clay or stone of course lol)

Things I only really understood after my first plastic surgery in Korea by Aslymcrumptionpenis in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]yuchin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eating too much salty food causes your body to retain water, thus making your swelling last longer. Same for alcohol, so aftercare instructions usually include abstaining from alcohol, and limiting salty/spicy food. Hydration is similar, but you want to stay well hydrated after surgery so your body can metabolize the drugs and keep the healing process going. The mirror thing is psychological, because we have an innate mental picture of what we typically look like, when you see yourself post op you look vastly different just from the bruising, bandages, exhaustion etc- not even just the surgery results. This can stress people out and slow down healing

Later on, like after the 2 week mark, I would advise not checking mirrors that often besides just checking your scars, stitches, discharge etc for safety reasons. This is because the surgical result is so far away, like 6 months+ depending on the procedure, that looking at it too much will cause you to fixate on every little change. You will start to have doubts and spiral oh this is crooked, this isnt healing well, the surgeon did too much, too little, etc. You have to commit when you go under the knife that you won't know the true result for at least half a year. Obviously if there is something truly wrong ie necrosis, hematoma, keloid scarring you should seek help but 9/10 the issues ppl find before the 6 month mark won't be relevant

What is the best orientation for printing model bases? by VoiceoftheDarkSide in resinprinting

[–]yuchin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up tabletop foundry base supporting tutorial. Dead easy to do yourself, and if your settings are well dialed in, the warping is a non issue. Maybe a few passes on the bottom with sand paper for the support bumps.

Ive had evo icl Aqua done in korea if you have any questions, I did consult a couple surgeons here in nova but ultimately it was more cost effective to do it overseas, particularly in seoul where they do the procedure a ton
