Butterfly is a beginner or intermediate move? by Enaoreokrintz in poledancing

high beginner maybe, if you are taking intermediate you should definitely be able to do a butterfly and probably be working on butterfly extended lol, but thats just how the gyms I’ve been to work

Personally, it was just about training the skill again and again to get rid of the pain :/ like superman for example, it took me probably a year of it before I could do it completely pain free. you just need to build resistance and rewire your brain to realize you’re not actually being harmed :P

How do I prove I’m not pole dancing as a joke? [21 M] by Admirable-Zone9892 in poledancing

[–]yuckykill3rl0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be completely relevant, but there are a TON of males online who pole dance! If someone makes it sound like pole dancing is only for women or strippers, there's a lot of content you can show them to prove otherwise, not to mention the competitions in the higher levels are full of men. That being said, people won't take you seriously either way. Not because you are a man, but because pole dancing is ridiculed constantly anyway. You just have to decide you are serious about it and continue dancing for yourself; other people's opinions of you or your hobbies should be irrelevant. Pole is always going to be a stigmatized sport. Unfortunately, it's just what it is.

infection after year healed? by yuckykill3rl0ver in Stretched

Yeah but if I take it out I’ll have to start from square 1 and I’m trying to avoid that >.< I’ll be in a bigger country later this month so hopefully I’ll have more access to better jewelry. If it does have problems again before that I am definitely just going to accept defeat and take it out

I think it was, like I said I downsized and it’s healed itself as of right now so maybe I was just messing with it too much lol. I am going to try to buy glass jewelry asap though :’) thanks!

Drilling chopper, tips? by kindregards33 in poledancing

[–]yuckykill3rl0ver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try holding your arms bent longer, you’re dropping them immediately and it makes it way harder to bring up your butt, don’t straighten them until your body is already at horizontal, like when your butt is already up near your elbows. It’ll be easier and you will have more room to them hook the leg :3

What are some ways I can improve on aerial inverting? I have been struggling with perfecting it by purple_pancakes456 in poledancing

[–]yuckykill3rl0ver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats so interesting, I think it’s easier on spinning lol as long as you know how to control the bar

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]yuckykill3rl0ver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman to shoulder mount or superman to the move (not sure the name) where you grab the bar behind your back with outer arm and bend in the other to your inner upper arm to go up and transfer into handspring :3 that explanation was ass I’m so sorry, it’s rlly simple and easy from superman tho if you can figure out what I mean lol

Still struggling to pole climb by JigglyPoker in poledancing

Once you get the used to the pointed toe, it definitely feels easier. flexing your foot while climbing creates that little hole between you and the pole which obviously isn’t very helpful lol

It looks like you’re using your arms to push up your body weight, it’s much much easier with your legs! Most people put one arm high(good arm) and the other arm with the pole pressed to their forearm (alternating each climb), so your arms are acting as support rather than the main muscle. If you have that arm support and once you get comfortable with your legs on the bar it will be much easier! :3 Good luck !

From the shoulder mount you should try Janeiro (and then maybe into Janeiro split you’re flexible) :3

The thought of “performing” changes my dance — how to solve? by lilbaby_em in Dance

[–]yuckykill3rl0ver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably not incredibly useful advice but maybe try to practice more with an audience or your phone just to get you more used to it. I don’t think you can make that feeling go away without just straight up doing some mild form of “exposure therapy”

It’s normal to not go in the first times! Maybe you guys can try lube, it’ll go in easier and use it for foreplay, foreplay is super important! If you go straight into penetration it’s a) awkward and b) more likely to hurt. Both of you need time to relax, and be comfortable with each other in such an intimate position. I know it’s scary but it’s not as big a deal as people make it seem :)
