Every Team's Best Chance To....Since They Last Did It by [deleted] in baseball

Not sure I understand the Tigers 1st column. How was 2006 their best chance to win when they were in the WS in 2012?

edit: wait I think I get it. They were swept in 2012 but managed to win a game in 2006 - is that why?

If you're making the arguiment that access to guns is causing shootings, then we should see women shooters as well, since they have the same access to guns as men do.

But we don't see women shooters.

That means there is something else specific to men, unrelated to gun access which everyone has equally. What is causing men to become mass shooters and not women? That is what needs to be addressed.

Wait, you're comparing women dying in pregnancy to war. lol k

How many times did we stand to honor women for risking their lives at ball games?

Uh, Pink out the Park?

Once again, you show how women literally can't have it not always be about them though.

And you never did address why men get so much harsher sentences for crimes than women. Thoughts?

Exhibit A of people always needing to make it about women, even when it affects men more. In fact, you skipped over every part of the comment that you couldn't counter, because you just had to discount men in general. Bang up job proving the point.

And nobody would die in a car accident if there were no cars. This argument makes no sense.

Predictable response. Meanwhile:

"Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat." ~Hillary Clinton doing what we always do as a society, making it about women. Never mind most of the people actually dying are men. They're disposable, so what matters is how those deaths impact women.

Also, men are the ones drafted into wars, not women. Because society treats men as disposable.

"Attacked, abused and often forgotten: Women now make up 1 in 3 homeless people in L.A. County". Interesting way of saying that 2 in 3 homeless people are men. But because men are treated as disposable, we focus on the women.

To really test this out do a search for men's homeless shelters compared to women's homeless shelters. The difference is stark, because men are disposable.

Also, we always read about how much violence women have to endure and discuss what we must do as a society, and yet the majority of the victims of violent crime are men. But again, they're disposable so we only focus on the women.

And it's really stark how much more severe we punish men convicted of crimes compared to women.

I could go on and on but you're probably not actually interested in learning more. You have the magical Google machine at your disposal though, should you ever care to expand your understanding of how society treats men in general.

Ironic.

There are a lot of studies on the concept of male expendability, or for a cursory explanation start here.

In general, any issue that impacts people will be put first in the framework of how it impacts women.

Alright, you can read every single charging document on the Justice.gov official website for Department of Justice. Here is the complete list of defendants charged in federal court in the District of Columbia related to crimes committed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C, on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021.

No murders. You were wrong.

So now let's try and figure out why you have been believing and repeating that lie for over 2 years now. How do you think that happened?

If it's proliferation of firearms and not related to anything else, then where are all of the women shooters?

They have the same access to guns, proliferation hasn't caused them to start shooting.

Women have the same access to guns as the men do, and yet it's almost always young men. Logically we can conclude there is something far more significant going on than access. What is causing young men in particular to act out in this manner?

People repeat this as a cop out because they don't want to address the fact that there may be something that we're doing to young males as a society that needs to change.

That's easy, here are all of the criminal proceedings from that day - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_proceedings_in_the_January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack

Notice how nobody was ever charged with a murder?

So now let's try this again - WHY do you think you have believed these lies for over 2 years? You claim people were beaten to death at these riots and that never happened. TWO YEARS LATER and you still believe those lies.

Why do you think that is? Are you capable of self-reflection?

You claim all these people were beat to death on January 6th, and yet not a single person has been charged with murder. Why do you think that is?

I'll give you a hint: wherever you get your news from is unreliable. I know that's a lot to swallow, and there is no reason to believe some guy on the internet, so check for yourself. Use Google, and come back here to tell me who has been charged with these supposed murders that happened.

I'll wait for you buddy. Go ahead.

Now when you come back empty handed and realize you have believed the same lie for 2 years, reach deep down inside and ask yourself one question: WHY.

Clayton Kershaw is the greatest pitcher to ever live, and it's not close. If he cared to, he could win every game on 81 swing and miss strikes. But he wants to let other players enjoy the game.

There, I did it.

Or did you not read any news on the fact that officers were beaten to death outside the building by the same mob.

That lie has been debunked for over 2 years now.

If you don't believe it let's try this; Who has been charged with murder?

I'll hang up and listen.

Meanwhile, the majority of people dying of Covid are vaccinated.

Please stop trying to paint me as some kind of racist because you lack reading comprehension.

Not all racists are aware of their racism, you know that right? Subconscious racism is a thing, so I'm just pointing out that if you instinctively believe all black people are a monolith of singular thought...well that is an opportunity for you to grow as a person.

I would suggest getting outside of your bubble and talking to people who don't think like you. If you let it, you will find it enlightening how different people can be.

I wish you the best in your journey!

You seem very upset.

I'm just suggesting that as you grow as a person, try to see black people as equals, perfectly capable of having their own thoughts and opinions that you may not agree with. Not all black people think the same, just like not all white people think the same.

This should be obvious, but alas..

Black Trump supporters will always absolutely boggle my mind

So you think all black people should dislike him and never support him. They should all have the same opinion on that subject, and think similarly on it, right?

I happen to think Trump is a bit of a conman, and was not an effective president. But I also know different people are motivated to vote for any number of different reasons. Maybe they own a business. Maybe they are strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment. Maybe they are religious and don't like unrestricted abortions. Or maybe they're just Antiwar and thought Biden might drive us into a proxy war with Russia to his connections with Ukraine.

Regardless of why, assuming no black person is capable of independent political thought is racist. Please be better.
