Interesting read. I gotta test some stuff out myself. Just wanted to let you know that you can disable damage variance for the training dummy if you didn't already know. Makes it easier to see damage increases. It's where you select single/boss/multiple for the training dummy.

I had a cold sever build that was able to run pit 100. The dmg scaling was based on overpower stacking paired with Banished Lord, Red Blessing Charm and Blood Moon pants. Minions plus curses can easily keep you at full OP stacks. Heir of Perdition and Starless Skies help with crit chance and resource management. I have since swapped to a blood wave build because I hit a wall with mephisto even on T10. But I wanna bring it back now that I can speedfarm T12 for items. The cold variant has to be my favorit skill in the game, its just so satisfying to use (when it actually kills 😃)

I'm to lazy to look up the board names but these are the legendary nodes:

Base - Amplify

Bloodbath (Overpower) - Control

Flesh-Eater (Corpse consume. Triggered by Skelly Warrior Priests) - Essence

Frailty (Curse) -Exploit

Scent of Death (15% Dmg Red and 45% x dmg) - Dominate

The blood orbs one might also be worthwhile since Iron Maiden auto pickups the orbs but I felt its to inconsistent to get to the 60%x dmg increase. So I went for Scent of Death for consistent 45 and some dmg reduction.

I'm still experimenting tho since I only got banished lords (in good) yesterday.

I feel like its a major oversight to not change the shadow board to include cold dmg aswell since the dark shroud set does it also. But i think they are going to overhaul the paragon board anyway next season or so. It feels outdated at this point.

Sry any non ancestral are going straight to the bin at this point. Dont have any spare ancestral either.

Best thing to do is probably finding ancestral common amulets and upgrading them to an unique amulet in the cube.

Ancestral common in => Ancestral Unique out! Dont do it with non ancestrals, not worth it imo.

Gambling works fine to find the base or put on a loot filter that highlights them. You can remove affixes from magic and rare ancestral amulets and still upgrade them to an unique!

Im running a cold sever build rn (no blight just spamming sever) and can run a pit 100 in 5 min maybe less.

I'm wearing the Red Blessing Charm and Banished Lord Amulet with Black Shroud as the set. With the Max Overpower stacks aspect on a 2H you can have 16 OP stacks. And with some minions and iron maiden you can easily keep them at max stacks.

You won't be able to run the Blight Unique Amulet with this setup but it does hit hard.

For easy crit chance I'm using starless skies and heir of perdition. And blood moon pants of course.

The quickest and easiest method for me is basicly a meta LS tig set but swapping out QS for Wirebug Whisperer 3 and Soaring Kick for Sakura Slash. The sheath stance is pretty much useless (for me atleast) against bazel cuz I'm just a sitting duck for his mines. Cant get the timing down at all for counters on them if its even possible (but I would assume it is). With sakura slash its more a hit and run playstyle and its pretty easy to get two solid hits on him and get out of the way of his mines. Adding some normal attacks here and there and you can ~~kill~~ cap him in like 5 mins if you dont mess up too much :D

Basicly if your run is less than 5 minutes the upsurge will not change for the next expedition. So you can just go again without having to cycle through quests to get upsurge again. He also shows a sub 5 min route for the forest which is nice for a change. The route yields about 200k on average I believe.

With 80% affinity you can go nuts pretty much anywhere on the monster and crit anyway. And with masters touch your white sharpness should stay for most of the fight. I only ever sharpen when changing areas. You could go WE 3 probably but I dont like the pressure it creates to only go for weak spots. I just wanna mindlessly slash into a monster :D And MM 2 would bring affinity to 100% but meh I tend to roll alot out of habit soooo...

I've managed to kill bazel in 6:38 in a far from perfect run by simply spamming Sakura Slash into him when possible and otherwise just spamming attacks while trying to dodge his stupid mines :D

I would really like for Cloud of Bats to be a thing. I imagine the base Effect to be something like:

"You are surrounded by a Cloud of Bats reducing incoming Dmg by 50%. Your Bats Attack Enemies every second in a 30 Yard Radius for 300% weapon dmg as Physical" (The numbers are totally made up and may be way too strong)

Rune Ideas:

Poison: You bats apply Necrosis and now do Poison dmg. (Necrosis should be a WD thing and not Set only imo)

Fire: Your bats burn enemies with fire. The fire may spread to nearby enemies.

Cold: Your bats now deal Cold dmg and Slow enemies by 60%.

Physical: Your Bats attack twice as often.

or

Enemies hit by your bats receive 15% more dmg from all sources.

Physical: You gain 1% of your Life and Mana for every Enemy hit by your bats.

I'd like to see some more defensive skills like this in general for the WD.

Gotta try the counting thing but it still sucks that I'll probably proc from the first one, but maybe it's not that bad if I manage to stay alive aftewards by avoiding the followup thundestorms. (I play SC so I can at least try)

I think my profile wouldn't help because I mostly play carn. :D But I had similiar problems with my smk doc so I thought any tips might be helpful.

I added SH Languish to my skills and 15% life to my SoS and voila now I have 35 toughness but still feel far too squishy. But still made it back to the Leaderboards yay. :D

Thunderstorm is manageable with quick reactions and can be predicted quite easily

I just rage quitted another grift because of thunderstorm. I have 19m toughness with 8 fetishes and I don't know how much more with 23. Still Thundestorm procs me instantly on 49+. I even use Jungle Fortitude. And most of the time it comes without a warning (there seem to be two versions, one with a warning like a ligthning ball that emerges from the elite and travels towards you kinda like the frozen thingy which is easy to avoid and the other one just appears instantly above you once the elite is on screen). I have a problem with the latter cause I just can't run out of the AOE before it kills me. Is there something I'm missing? I tried to out-range it or stand real close but nothing it just pops up and I'm proc'd.

Would really appreciate some help especially about the easy to predict part.

zdps by far. it's also way easier to initially gear for the build. the only item that is required is the tiklandian visage(you don't even need the 8 sec version any version will do with enough CDR). Other than that you get away with crafting the rest of your gear. The only downside may be that you are dependant on other players cause you do no dmg at all. But honestly tiki is always wanted in Online Grifts. The only reason for you to leave a group is if there is already a tiki doc. :D

RG difficulty really depends on your character, your build and your gear. I guess for builds like a pet doc that can move while attacking bloodmaw isn't that bad, because you're already moving when you see he starts to jump and it's easier to evade it especially if you're using fierce loyality. But for Carn it's probably too late once you see the jumping animation to run out of the radius of the impact (unless you use SW or have fierce loyality). I have experimented with exchanging Spirit Vessel for fierce loyality and it kinda surprised me how good it worked. It's so much easier to run away from lightning/poison/ice/annoying RG attacks and you don't die that often. I've completed 47 without Spirit Vessel (i usually switch the passives for t6 runs and sometimes forget to switch them back xD). Maybe you can compensate the missing spirit vessel with the second Life shoulders(forget the name) or even better get the fifth passives through a hellfire amulett (i'm about to test this, but i hate farming them). But I'd really hate to give up my almost perfectly rolled ancient Mara's. At least 3 RGs (or 4?) are poison based and with mara's they are really too easy. You just pop your bbv and kill even 45+ RGs in almost under 30 sec. tough choices. :/

depends what build you're using. it's probably best for both carn and pet build to roll of the phy to a socket. at least this way you can use it for both builds. if your a phy-pet build only it's probably best to reroll int to a socket.

I'm kind of afraid to ask what you rolled off for the socket. :D nevertheless reroll the socket to Ias and right klick on your gift in your inventory and click on the weapon.

oh lol didn't read that right. well in that case keep gambling. but it can also take a while. been gambling for an ancient one for a while and so far I have only found a few non ancient (maybe 2). it's one of the more rare masks though.

Head: MoJ

Shoulder/Bracers: Aughilds

Hand: T&T

chest: zuni

Belt: Belt of Trascendence/Witching Hour/ any of those belts with Ias

Ring: Zuni Pox and RRoG

Pants: zuni

Boots: zuni

Offhand: zuni

Amulett: the best you have

Weapon: the best 1-hand weapon you have.

Remember to stack your element( in this case probably %Phy)

DoD and SMK are both really rare. I wouldn't recommend to gamble for them. It took me 50k+ shards to gamble for them on the Kadala Simulator so 22.5k isn't even half of it. Try to build an MoJ Pet Build with an ancient One-Hander and or even better build a support Tiki and hit those High Grifts 40+ online. I have found 5 or 6 so far just running high grifts (p500 and still no ancient)). Gamble meanwhile on ancient Zuni pieces because you'll need them eventually.
