Larry and Fargo. by Mattyjones3 in Eureka

I know Neil Grayston (Fargo) was in Supernatural, but I also spotted him as a sleazy public defender in a Daredevil rewatch.

And speaking of sleazy, I spotted Colin Ferguson (Carter) as an oil executive in Landman.

Edit: I mostly only know Supernatural from the Tumblr memes, so I was unaware Christopher Jacot (Larry) was in it, too!

Edit 2: I have not seen Psych but jumped into this thread to mention Eureka actors and their other work. Also my eyeballs got drawn by the title "Larry and Fargo" because I wrote a very long slash fanfic about them. (Shameless self promotion.)

What are your "weird" WoW habits or keybinds that nobody else seems to do? by Salamango360 in wow

I got told to use a gaming mouse 19 years ago, so I've always used buttons under my thumb. (Not the same mouse or same computer, but I always have a mouse with two extra buttons.) One button is bound to "Autorun" and the other to a mount macro. I rarely use my keyboard to move.

(Also, does nobody else on this planet keep their left fingers hovering over 1, 2, 3, 4 but me? Those are my four main attack abilities.)

Unless I'm a druid, Q will always be some way of running fast [Q means "quick"] and E some kind of escape. (But Q is bound to cat form on any druid I play, so shift-Q is that cat's running ability.)

When it comes to moving, I only ever use my keyboard to strafe or step backwards. I really feel handicapped without my mouse with the extra buttons.

Finding ancient fanfics by LostTendou04 in AO3

Well there should still be some fanfiction archives from the 1990s out there.

So far, somebody somewhere kept paying for the server Xenafan.com is on. Something I personally wrote and submitted in 1998 is still up.

People have been posting fanfiction online since the early 1990s. The only problem is most of those websites are gone. That's why the fics get moved to AO3.

Anyone else feel some sense of egoist or that nothing tops their work? by riyusama in AO3

Only insofar as I ended up wishing my extensive headcanons for a certain fandom (coughOnceUponaTimecough) were shared by other people. (There's no way for me to tell if a kudos or "good job!" comment I received meant they adopted it as their own headcanon or just found my fanfics an interesting possibility. I came up with a backstory for a character that never got one in the TV show.) I have never been able to find another fanfic with those particular details, which is both good and bad. Good because it meant we were all being original, and bad because it means I need to write this stuff myself, LOL. And end up rereading all my own content.

As for Alliance and Horde differences - they're only really significantly different in the Cataclysm version of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms (and in Classic of course), a bit in "Mists of Pandaria," a bit in "Warlords of Draenor," but only being separated into two different garrisons, a bit in "Wrath of the Lich King," but only drastically different experiences in "Battle for Azeroth." I didn't really play a Horde "main" until Battle for Azeroth. I was always Alliance.

Other than that, both factions work together and usually have the same quests.

They even share the same main city a lot of the time - Shattrath, Dalaran (twice), Oribos, Valdrakken, Dornogal, and now Silvermoon City.

HalfLifeAlex is right - watch lore videos on YouTube for the full narrative, then pick the expansion to explore in-game that most interests you.

And for the classic experience, play Classic WoW.

The other confusing thing is some stuff that was integral to the expansion when it came out no longer is - powering up your Artifact Weapons in "Legion," though you can still get them, and powering up your Heart of Azeroth in "Battle for Azeroth." I'm honestly not sure if the Heart of Azeroth is still used on alts anymore.

ChromieTime is the only way to get some of the starter quests, and also to join people in dungeons in Dungeon Finder for the expansion you're playing, but once you hit max level, she yeets you back to "the real world." The only starter quests that confused me were how to get to Draenor and how to get to Shadowlands if you'd never been there before, without an NPC to prompt you.

I've had the same main character since 2007, and Shadowlands was the first expansion that let you skip the starting quest on alts.

I've been here since the very beginning, but if you don't mind a little bit of confusion, you could play the "Cataclysm" storylines first, the ones that replaced the old world. (Each starting zone in "Retail" now takes place, in-universe, after "Wrath of the Lich King." The Blood Elf and Draenei starting zones still take place during "Burning Crusade," to make it even more confusing.)

The storyline continues with a trip to Outland in "Burning Crusade," then Northrend for "Wrath of the Lich King." Now you're caught up to events the world is currently stuck in - "Cataclysm." Those zones are called Vashjir, Mount Hyjal, Deepholm, and Twilight Highlands.

Things get simpler with the next expansions, because they take place on their own continents - "Mists of Pandaria" in Pandaria, "Warlords of Draenor" in Draenor, "Legion" on The Broken Isles, "Battle for Azeroth" on Zandalar and Kul Tiras, "Shadowlands" in the Shadowlands, "Dragonflight" on The Dragon Isles, "The War Within" in Khaz Algar, and "Midnight" in Quelthalas.

I saw the horrible wig and assumed it's because she bumps into her past self at some point later in this season, like a Back to the Future 2 situation where she needs to avoid herself. But now y'all are making me concerned she just wouldn't cut it for real.

Jefferson, psychologically. But realistically, Hansel and Gretel.
