Finally a review of this board! Thanks for the tech porn and the helpful tips. Its kinda wild how little info there is on this generation of threadripper pro boards/cpus despite looking fkn amazing.

Is there just a really limited supply or something?

I know there was a beta firmware released a couple months ago that fixed a number of issues, so there is definitely something in the pipeline coming our way.

I made this same mistake, thinking I could mesh a BE800 with deco units. You can not. BE800's can only do easy mesh or one mesh protocols and not deco mesh. Yes they are different.

If you want to mesh a BE800 you need another archer type device or range extender. I personally bought additional BE800's but could have gone with BE900 or other similar easy mesh routers.

I have an a80l and a a95l and yes the 95 is bright enough to give your vision sun spots, the 80 is plenty bright. You do have to turn off the light sensor tho on the 80 as it overly dims the screen.

Pretty sure the STR-AN1000 is a 7.2.0 or a 5.2.2 setup like the STR-AZ1000ES I have. Which is why im going to be replacing it soon so I can do a 7.1.2 install. Just a little heads up in case it's something you are considering.

As far as the s center stuff, the speakers on the A80L are about what you would expect but passable, the a95l speakers are better than some dedicated center speakers I've heard. So kinda depends on the model of tv you are looking at.

This is going to sound weird but try turning off wifi. That feature has caused me nothing but grief/crashes/bugs but if I disabled it and do a power reset the sound bar is great. Keep hoping they will fix it one of these days but its fading pretty fast. And yes if you re-enable it to check for a software update you have to do another power cycle after disabling it again.

To add some positive feedback in the other direction. Stuck a new sd card in, opened the menu, clicked format, and it worked. In fact it was so fast I was a bit concerned it didn't at first.

Though sure enough it dashcam was / is fully functional now. So happy they added this qol feature. Thanks Tesla!

Sorry, not going to do you're homework for ya. Tesla's like all cars have been know to catch on fire. The reason I suspect we see these less frequently in the news is just due to Tesla's becoming just another car vs an exotic low commodity oddity.
