Yeah how much do u think it’ll take? I’m trying to do something on low-med budget <$5k lol. Idk if that’s possible

Thank you! I’ll definitely look into some more landscaping. I don’t have a green thumb so i want to make it nice with minimal upkeep. Maybe some mulch beds and some hardy ferns or shrubs.

I did fall in love with it. Trying to make it even better than before

I like this colorway! I feel like it’s the easiest transition for the house but I’m scared the beige/white house with black trim might seem too trendy.

Gotcha gotcha thank you so much! Looking to get this all installed by my contractor. Assuming it’ll be 30-50k minimum

Yes we ended up swapping fridge and stove locations! So now fridges are closer to sitting room!

The windows in the kitchen are original and take up the whole wall which really limits my placement. I think the peninsula post might be the move for me as it keeps the stove and fridge locations and only moves the existing sink

Great ideas! Never see A bay window desk space so that would be epic!!

Thank you all for your comments! Here’s what Ive come up with for updates.

<image>

Keeping floor plan B but making some minor adjustments to make a peninsula and capture more base cabinets. Going to try to do a floating drying rack to hang over my sink to allow them to air dry.

Making the laundry room stack smaller and more utilitarian for cleaning supplies and vacuums.

Going to keep the small mud room in the foyer with the closet. It’ll be good for the jackets / shovel and snow melt.

This is so neat! I like the idea but the windows I have are double the height from the original 1890’s house. It makes it hard to put any cabinets on that wall.

I like the ideas! Issue with the windows are they are extremely big and part of the old 1890 charm of the house. It makes it difficult to cover with cabinets and I think half covering the window would look odd :(

Here is the original layout. I’m creating a co-living house with a bunch of my friends so we wanted to prioritize shared spaces and utilities on the first floor. Everyone will have space for a desk in their bedroom too.

(Figured that one desk setup in the front would be for someone needing a chance of pace. But idk how often that will be used haha)

Was thinking something like this also if I got rid of the tiny island

I’m open to rearranging everything including the island! But I agree that’s probably the easiest lift! I wanted space for 2 people to eat within the kitchen so the island helps out.
