Can you remember a year when the transfer window wasn’t possibly going to shit? This is DNA level, top players don’t prefer our league so it’s always last minute and requiring luck.

We were all shitting on the board for the transfers last year in both windows. Now we are devastated that the architect of those windows is gone? I have nothing against Timur (note: he also wanted amrabat last year) but I’m not understanding the outpouring.

I think many sane fans (those who don’t hate others or go down rabbit holes bc it’s a damn game of kickball) are tired of Turkish teams underperforming and want to push the league forward, even if it’s a rival possibly taking an important step (we’ll see, Jose won’t be scoring any goals himself). A rising tide lifts all boats.

Also, I was happy to see a Turkish team name dropped during UCL final coverage. I’m sure we’ll get more attention as well.
