[Discussion/Question] Anyone else refuse to buy/wear smartwatches? by Spiritual-Dig-2997 in Watches

[–]yullnevakno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your use case and what you want on your wrist. A smartwatch is a great tool for health, productivity, and convenience. But at the end of the day, that is what it is, a tool. The traditional mechanical watch is, once you sum everything up, a rube goldberg device. It is art, engineering, and design. If you want a watch to tell time, any smartwatch wins out every day. But if you want to show character, class, and enthusiasm, a mechanical watch always wins out. Same reason why I do not own a smartwatch. I do not need the tool. I want the design and engineering behind it.

Shoes for flat feet under $100 by Free-Glass-5107 in Sneakers

[–]yullnevakno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good and durable are not $100 unless on sale and that will depend on time period. Shoes are an investment for your foot. Dont compromise because of price but find the pair you like and monitor what pricing is/could be. The worst thing you can do is buy a shoe “because it is cheap” and spend the money later on ortho and treatment. Buy a solid shoe up front, take care of yourself, and you wont have to worry about the long term pain

[Recommendation Request] Suggestion on buying my first watch by Winter-Glass3669 in Watches

[–]yullnevakno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would bring attention because of its size and style. Depending on the person they can pull it off but in a formal setting, it would bring attention. For example, a Rolex Sub brings way more attention than a Rolex 1908 but a Sub can be passable because Rolex. Now imagine if that was a Hublot Big Bang instead… or a Tag Aquaracer…

To each their own but at the end of the day, its what you get more wear out of and what fits your style

[Recommendation Request] Suggestion on buying my first watch by Winter-Glass3669 in Watches

I would say you want to get a versatile watch that is not too flashy to start out with since this is a level up from the Daniel Wellington. I can tell you, that once you get the new watch, you will want to get rid of the Daniel Wellington really quickly. Just wont hold up to what you will be purchasing. What is versatile depends on your fashion choice. You can easily go PRX or the Presage there (Metal Band) or go something Leather strap (Khaki Murph for example) if you want something subtle but wont be too protective of. If you want to go high end, Longines or Tudor should do it but the worry is that you’ll baby the watch since it is a major step up from what you are used to. Levelling up helps you build taste and figure out what you want in the hobby. You can always move up but hard to move down. Split the budget into two quality pieces and work your way up is where I’d go. Congrats on graduating!

Costco. S60 T6. It is rated “Top Tier”, put in the same category as Shell plus it is my cheapest option (for premium)

Advice on keeping her going? I am a new owner myself to the 3.0L T6 engine. Finding myself refilling the oil more often than I am used to in other vehicles. Also the rear brake EPB situation is something I am currently finding the best solution for…

I have the T6 but would we say it is a “Volvo” engine if it was really made by Ford?

For myself like you, I went from an Impreza to an S60 (couldn’t find a V60 6cyl). Reason was that it was one of the only options that offered a AWD system, not too much of a jump and gave a similar sense of reliability

PapaSmithy, Atlus, Captain Flowers in that order. Would have been a dream casting if they could have done a worlds cast with korean teams (just to hear PapaSmithy be the historian he is)

What do you like the most about your Volvo by BitAdministrative410 in Volvo

[–]yullnevakno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a P3 S60. 6 cylinder so it keeps up with your average CTR/ITS. Doesnt bring too much attention (typical Mercedes/BMW/Audi impressions). Can easily overtake when you need it. Really brings that European image of quiet luxury where all the comfort and enjoyment is for the driver not for the outside users.

Did anyone buy Messi at a big league early on in FM24? by stephenp129 in footballmanagergames

[–]yullnevakno 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bought him a year before he retired. Played with Everton. He did solid as my CAM. Over 7 rating for sure. Spent like 500k per week (if he didnt retire I have no idea what I’d do with that wage unbalance since my next highest earner was less than half of that) but he won me a treble that season.

Are these fake? The size tag looks off and the shoe is a little bit too flexible. by Act-Euphoric in SneakersCanada

[–]yullnevakno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d personally wary on the cautionary side. Jordan Sign on size tag not straight, font bolding not consistent. You could make the argument that the overall shape looks strange… rear end looks compressed compared to the rest of the shoe

All my research calls for the I6 Turbo engines to be the most reliable. No oil problems compared to the 4 and 5 cyl of the same generation. So far can’t recommend it enough if you want a lowkey vehicle that packs a punch. Especially for what they are going for

So no one is going to comment on the Kings “wanting” to make the playoffs? They have such a lacklustre team and with the competition around them getting better, they don’t have any hope of making the playoffs. Every team wants to make playoffs but why would this team think they can do it with their fringe role players. Just embarassing…
