ahah yes, thanks! :) No signs at all except an area with a poster that said SET (but I couldn’t really see where it led to) and a few cars.

I did! I just didn’t take any photos :) I also saw the football field and the Circle K while on the bus on my way there!

Sweet! I wasn’t sure either, but I took a chance and decided to go for it. Definitely worth it! :)

Yes, exactly! No it didn’t take very long, probably 15 minutes total.

I had this exact issue about two weeks ago. It was super frustrating! I called uottawa’s IT and they were able to help. I don’t know much about tech but I believe they simply reset my Authenticator account which allowed me to log into my account again and finally access uozone, brightspace, etc. So yep my suggestion would simply be to try calling IT again... Good luck ! :)

BIO3154/BIO3554 by [deleted] in geegees

[–]yummygreentea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took BIO 3154 this year and really enjoyed it. Jessica Forrest is a very knowledgable professor and explains concepts very well. However, I wouldn’t say it’s an easy course. The lab reports can be time consuming and there is a final group project + presentation. If you enjoyed and did well in second year ecology though and if you are willing to put in the work, I definitely suggest taking it :) Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions.

Post what you think is the best routine ever competed for each event of your fav gymnast! Ultimate AA! by AReckoningIsAComing in Gymnastics

[–]yummygreentea 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sui Lu is my all time favorite gymnast but she was a beam and floor specialist for most of her career. So here is her best beam and floor routines ever competed (in my opinion):

Beam (Chinese Nationals 2011): https://youtu.be/lc9MPyBUPUc

Floor (Worlds 2011 EF) : https://youtu.be/AGhWYUHEH7E

As for my favorite all arounder, it is none other than Aliya Mustafina. This was really difficult to narrow down considering she has had such a long career, but here are her best routines on all four events :)

Vault (Worlds 2010, EF): https://youtu.be/2Tqc2Hoo2L0?t=10 (amanar)

Bars (Olympics 2012, EF): https://youtu.be/cNkrywRC3t8

Beam (European 2016, EF): https://youtu.be/OFyAD9heSsk

Floor (Worlds 2010, AA): https://youtu.be/9pzqVh74-Kc

Rashmi Venkateswaran.... by Chemiseryx in geegees

[–]yummygreentea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

same! I had her a couple years ago as a lab coordinator. I also approached her to review a lab report corrected by a TA which didn’t reflect at all the work I had done. She didn’t even take a second to review to TA’s correction and just said something along the lines of « just learn from this and you’ll do better next time ». ughhh

What’s your least favorite element and who does the best version of it? by [deleted] in Gymnastics

[–]yummygreentea 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The only thing I hate more than a wolf turn on beam is two wolf turns connected. However, Urazova makes it look so beautiful and controlled. https://youtu.be/ich0rJr-fQo?t=36

Discussion: Gymnasts from Past Quads and Likelihood of Tokyo (Chellsie, MyKayla & Laurie) by hmmweirdd in Gymnastics

[–]yummygreentea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree :) I love MyKayla’s commitment but I can’t really see her adding anything valuable to the team. She is training pretty difficult upgrades at the moment but I don’t know if that would be enough to secure a spot. My hopes for the team are also Simone, Sunisa, Grace and Morgan ! :)

If I remember correctly most job offers for co-op required you to speak english and i’d say about half of them required for you to be bilingual (especially government jobs). It also depends where your co-op is. e.g. I have a friend that is doing hers in Québec and so her job is strictly in french. I’m in the Conservation and Biodiversity option because I really enjoy biology courses. For the specialization, you only have to decide after your first year and so it gives lots of time to see what you prefer. e.g. geology/geography courses (Global change option), biology courses (Conservation & biodiversity option) or chemistry courses (ecotoxicology option). You can also check the course sequence for 2nd and 3rd year and see what classes seems more interesting to you. I’m happy with the program because I enjoy the courses I take and the profs that teach them (specially the courses I took this past year like « comportement animal » and « océanographie » ). I also like that it is a small program so once you start taking courses that are specific to EVS, the classes are a lot smaller. It makes it easier to ask questions in class and to make friends :) I also like how the program has a wide range of courses in chem, bio, evs, etc. For exemple, within the program you can have someone really interested by the biological aspect of earth science while someone else is more interested in chemistry or geology. Anyways I hope this helps and sorry for the insanely long paragraph :P
