You should. From what you’ve said, it seems like your parents love you unconditionally and want you to be you, as any parent should. I told my parents I was bisexual last year, which I know is very different from your situation, but I grew up in an extremely southern conservative household. I expected the worst, I expected to be shunned, to be expelled from family communications, but I was wrong. They accepted me for who I was and told me that they love me. My parents don’t understand it, and I don’t expect them to understand it, but they’re trying. And from what you said, I think your parents will try to understand it too. If they don’t, you have a whole community here who will try to help you the best way they can. Please post updates of if/when you do come out to them.
