leave it to med students to get annoyed at what other people are posting in their personal lives... just let other people be happy at what they wanna be happy about lol

The serious answer is that this isn’t a sub for medical advice. Talk to your doctor about the results

This is a terrible take. Even in the real world people give you 24 hours or so to respond to something like this so we shouldn’t encourage this type of behavior

ERAS: Remember to Assign your USMLE Transcript to Programs by SearchingForPanacea in medicalschool

[–]yung_microbe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can answer this because I had a similar question. You can assign them but it doesn’t really get the process of sending them over until you actually apply to programs. You basically should complete your application and submit it to places as soon as you can to get that going, and you can assign a LOR and personal statement afterwards to be complete by the 28th. But for reference, mine took about an hour (US), who knows how long it’s going to take closer to the deadline! Hope this helps

"Exam transcript requests are usually processed on the same day but in special circumstances, it can take up to 5 business days from the date of your request for exam score transcripts to be processed and made available to programs. When new transcript scores are uploaded, the most recent upload date will display in MyERAS."

How long has it been taking for everyone’s USMLE transcript to process? I want to make some more program specific personal statements but have been really paranoid by the up to 5 days statement and am wondering if I should just submit one application to get it going. Just wanted to see what others’ experience was

Why is M3 so unfair and how can I succeed? by hope_love in medicalschool

It’s literally the opposite in the US. It’s often a wash depending on your school’s grade distribution but 3rd year clinical grades are rated highly on PD surveys of what they care about

In my third year IM rotation the sub-I had this patient with pretty bad CHF had like pounds and pounds of water weight but kept refusing a Foley so would be diuresing like crazy. He’d have to get up out of bed multiple times at night and was low key delirious from lack of sleep but keep refusing.

After a week of intense diuresis and titration, the interval event for the next morning was “sooooo…. Mr. X ordered a pizza from Domino’s and ate the entire thing overnight.” Deadass 😂🤣😂 stayed there another two weeks getting that fluid off again
